2024 WR Tyseer Denmark decommitting?

Sounds like many are expecting 2024 WR commit Tyseer Denmark to decommit after visiting Penn State this past weekend. Probably wouldn't be the worst thing with how many top-100 WRs Oregon is still after this class.

The Ducks mutually parted ways. 1) He wanted to be closer to home. 2) He has not been as productive as they Ducks wanted in one of their commits. (Hence his drop in rankings). The "flip" is not seen as a loss. FYI

He has dropped quite a bit in rankings. And I agree, mutually makes sense for both parties.

Not sure I buy the mutual parting of ways narrative. This new staff uses insiders very strategically, and they’re practically mouthpieces for the program at this point.

He’s dropped in the ranking but I’m pretty sure it’s due to him not attending camps. The staff perused him hard so I find it hard to believe that they went from loving him to running him off in a matter of months. Seems much more likely that his hometown school has a big advantage and that played out.

Neither of said the coaches ran him off. More of, Gresham and Anderson are higher upside WRs. And we are also pursing Ryan Pellum, Gatlin Bair, Jeremiah McClellan, etc., all guys who I would prefer over Denmark at this point.

If we end up adding a guy like Pellum or Bair over Denmark, that's a win for us. And he'd probably rather go to a school with a smaller incoming WR core in hopes to play more. That is the mutual benefit.

We were in it for all those guys when we took Denmark’s commitment though. I’m not saying we lost our crown jewel, I agree that the guys you named are better prospects, but the mutual parting of ways because he’s not as good as they originally thought sounds like serious spin.

I think they realized they were going to lose him and instead of putting on the full court press, decided to let him go and put their resources towards other guys.

Guys decomit all the time. Kind of seems like a stupid thing to lie about

I didn’t say that. The mods on scoopduck were pushing the narrative that this wasn’t a big deal, that Denmark isn’t as good as the coaches originally thought, and that we’ve got bigger fish to fry (Pellum). Essentially WDWHA spin. Which doesn’t make sense on its face since he was obviously someone the staff really valued only a few months ago.

Of course, today JHOP logged a 75% prediction for Pellum to SC. Which only affirms my belief that losing Denmark wasn’t at all part of the plan.
