I remember one year, probably mid Bellotti era, Oregon was in on about a half dozen LBs and whiffed on all of them. In those days Oregon was landing one or two four stars a year. Put together some good teams though.

Andrew Ivins of 247 said that Platt told him he'll throw Javelin and Shot
“He was No. 8 on the freaks list. Brayden Platt, for those not familiar, very decorated in throwing events: shot put, javelin. I believe he’s going to do both at the next level. That’s what he had told me when we spoke on the phone. That’s because he was the national champion in the javelin and the shot put. He’s explosive in the lower half, and for a guy that is well over 230 pounds, not many moving like him… I see a little bit of Platt in Noah (Sewell), and I think that’s kind of the easy comp. One of the comps I like in this cycle.”
