D-line Where we at?
Prospects:
1. Owa - No one really knows, but it seems most likely to be Ducks vs. Bruins (UCLA slight lead).
2. Heimuli - Sounds like Utah has taken the lead here.
3. Werner - Anyone have any sort of update here? We all want him, but he's the one I heard the least about.
4. Potoae - Still commited to UW, but possibly talking to the Ducks.
5. King - Seems to be a slight Cal lean at this point, but we've still got a shot.
6. Uko - Rickert article makes it seem unlikely that he comes/is invited to play for the Ducks.
Am I missing anyone?
Seems like we have an uphill battle leading up to signing day.

It's just not really a great year for DL prospects it feels like. We really could miss out on all of those guys. I hope we can snag a few, but DL recruiting has got to pick up at some point.

It's in the comments section of this Bob Rickert article (the comment says 'bobrickert')pikestick wrote:is this new? Did this come out of the AA game?hendrg wrote:Prospects:

Also says Werner's an Oregon lean.
Bob seems to have good info and definitely appreciate his work, so hopefully he's right about Werner and Heimuli changes his mind!

Keep in mind that Rickert gleans his info primarily from DSA. It's extremely doubtful he has any separate sources of information. As for Werner, those in the know say we probably lead, but it's very close between us and Cal (just like situation w/King). Damn Bears, they are a much better recruiting outfit than their on field product.

Owa - Sounds about right. Nebraska is coming on late, and they may be a player. But right now, it's like you said.hendrg wrote:Prospects:

Heimuli - Utah might lead, but Oregon is still in it with him. Definitely wouldn't' count him out just yet.
Werner - He's the best chance to be a duck.
the rest sound right to me.

Re: D-line Where we at?
That isn't sounding good. Isn't Werner also pretty much down to us and Cal? With how good Cal's D-Line coach seems to be at smooth talking recruits, he isn't exactly the guy I want to be going up against as we approach signing day.UOducksTK1 wrote:Owa - Sounds about right. Cal and Oregon are teams high on his list, but not sure if it's just us right now. Either way, Oregon leads. Let's hope it stays that way til signing day.karlhungis wrote:That isn't sounding good.
