Anyone know why? Were they "sure" they were going to flip Nate Frazier? Or were they simply satisfied enough with James and Whittington and the new guys, Riggs and Harris?

It is just a numbers game and the Ducks essentially chose Jay Harris over Jason Brown. You normally don't want to dedicate more than 5 scholarships to the running back position. The Ducks will have 5 running backs on scholarship next season.

Jordan James
Noah Whittington
Jay Harris
Jayden Limar
Da'Jaun Riggs

Thanks. Seemed kind of odd to me that they'd choose a back from a lower division over a promising HS kid. But, hey, they're the experts. (And, oops: forgot to mention Limar).

I'm pretty sure we stopped recruiting Brown before Dowdell left and before Jay Harris signed.

The coaches know what is going on behind the scenes, before things are made privy to the public.
