Gabe King to Oregon?

I hope he comes to Oregon, but he just may feel more excited about Berkeley. That part of Cali is a beautiful place with tons going on... you can't say that the night life in Eugene is better than it would be in the Bay Area!

That said, if he's interested in playing football for a great team in a place where he can really focus on academics -- and in a town where he'll be worshipped -- then Eugene is the place for him. Our gameday atmosphere's can't be matched, nor can the love the town showers upon the team.

In the Bay Area, the Golden Bears compete with all of those California teams for attention.

In Oregon, it's all Ducks and Blazers with a hint of Beaver.

Boy, that last sentence reads funny!

Keep in mind King is a pretty playful dude.....He might be trying to stir the pot and add suspense to the announcement. Might even have White playing along with him. Who can say.

Then why is it not official yet? I will say he's a bear until the day he says he's Oregon's. I guess we will wait to see who's right. I hope I am wrong though, I would love for him to be a Duck!

King has no ties to Eugene. He hasnt been here very long. His girlfriend I believe is going to OSU though so it would keep him closer in that regard.

I dont think you can use Danny Ainge in an argument. That was a LONG time ago. =)

I like this idea NCDucks09 vs someone who doesn't believe we have a good chance at Gabe. Not sure there is anyone like that on this board out there though.
