Not sure about anyone else posting this, but I posted that King and Hill both gave there silent commit to the ducks a long while back and that they were expected to announce publicly soon after.....My source was correct on Hill...and I have no reason to believe that he was wrong with King...I will give him a shout out to make sure he doesn't have any new information though. As I said in my other posts my source is legit, but there is no way for me to give any proof without giving him up, and I won't do that, so take it for whatever you think it's worth...i will check with him though to make sure there isn't any new info. Also For some reason I think that my source mentioned that King was a cousin of Dino Philya (Sp?)...and that was why he and his family ended up moving out here after the whole North Carolina debacle...if that is true, that would be a considerable UO tie IMO.

I'm not sure if they're related, but you're right, Philyaw was easily the biggest reason Gabe moved out here.

Not to be a dick, because I certainly appreciate and look forward to any and all inside info, but I find it hard to believe that you couldn't say SOMETHING about your source without giving him up... If it's a coach just say "he's on the staff" there's like 30 people "on staff". If it's a player that makes it almost 100 people it could be. Even if it's a member of the media, I'd venture to guess there's probably 20 or 30 different media members covering the ducks at any given time. Training staff, booster, even if it's Belloti himself you can say that "this person works in the Oregon Athletic Dept."

Again, providing "any proof" of who you may or may not know should in no way "give him up" unless you're just the least creative person of all time. My only point is that I cannot imagine any person involved with the Ducks football that couldn't be hinted at a little bit that would still maintain some amount of secrecy. And frankly, if there IS, telling us that ought to out him, in which case you failed... It's ok to be a little vague.

PS. Thought I'd also say that who your source is isn't even a big deal to me. Just seems a little silly to put something like that into multiple posts like you have when it doesn't matter and isn't really true.

Point taken, my only reason for making this clear in every post regarding recruiting was because I have seen what happens when you say you heard something then people are like where did you hear that...and you say well I can't really say then they start freaking out and getting into stupid arguments...but your right I can give you the info you requested...He is in the media, has local connections (That's how I know him) and he is "involved" with one of the major Oregon Focused recruiting sites. I know him personally and although I am not positive of the date when he told me this info on King and Hill...it was while we were tailgating before a game this year...you could find out roughly the date because it was probably the Saturday before I first posted about King and Hill (the one linked above). Hope that helps...i haven't received a response to the e-mail I sent out yet...

Cool man, perfectly understandable. Although I'll say that I think the vast majority of this board tends to believe people, especially if you have a good track record, to the point where, at least in the future you probably won't have preface every post like that, but it's totally your call, like I said I understand why you are.

Either way you're doing the right thing by protecting your guy, and I'm thankful for your/his inside knowledge! Keep up the good work and bring us some good news about GK!
