Well, Galloway has a couple of really good reasons to throw shade at Oregon: he went to Ohio State, and he works for a network who has a financial incentive to promote the SEC. Just have to consider the source.

I think Oregon is rubbing some media people the wrong way. They were supposed to follow the narrative that they come from an inferior conference who never plays defense and could never produce teams worthy of playoff consideration. The truth is, other than Ohio State, the Pac 12 was stiffer competition week in and week out than the Big 10 has been. The fact that they are punking Big 10 teams in year one is upsetting the apple cart. I laugh every time Joel Klatt makes a betting prediction about the Ducks - he is now 0-5 on the season after going on and on about how 21.5 points was too much of a spread. How about 32 points in the first half, Joel?

Klatt is one of the biggest piles I've ever seen. Dude absolutely hates Oregon. Even when he gets proven wrong he just doubles down

Klatt holds the jock of his money interests, much the same way as everyone at ESPN minus Herbstreit. Klatt was for USC and UCLA jumping to Fox/Big Ten and said it was justified because the PAC should've given those schools a greater revenue share.

As stupid as it is, if Oregon continues to win, continues adding fans nationwide, then these same people who are annoying today will be riding our you-know-what just around the corner. Nicole Auerbach has done exactly this, as she was outspoken that the B1G shouldn't bring on Oregon and washington and now she touts Oregon because NBC broadcasts our games. I don't think it's a personal vendetta, I just think you shouldnt look at any of these folks as unbiased journalists because that's not what they are.

Well, Klatt is far from the only one, but I sort of look at him as representative of college football establishment thinking. He's happy to compliment the Ducks while being sure to keep them in their place in comparison to the best teams. He knows where his bread is buttered, always saving his most effusive praise for the schools from the largest bases. Another thing that makes me laugh is when he talks about USC being the best team with this many losses, or when talking about how amazing Texas is. Texas is literally being propped up right now because of the money they appeal to. Their playoff resume has gone completely to crap. Meanwhile, it's funny to watch Indiana get win after win in their thus-far undefeated season and still find themselves ranked behind one-loss teams and teams from lesser conferences. Remember how long Missouri spent in the top 10? There may be 12 teams now in the playoffs, but the heavy bias remains. Heck, they are all still angling for 2-loss Alabama to get in. I would bet money it will happen if they can beat LSU.
