I don’t know why Altman plays Brandon Angel and Ra’Heim Moss so much.

I’m not sure how that wouldn’t have been considered a coach’s challenge when the guy was lobbying them to check it for a full minute before they did. In terms of Angel, he’s a really good basketball player. I suspect that’s a big reason he plays a lot.

It feels like an absolute miracle to be going into overtime right now!

One would think all the momentum is on the Ducks side right now. That said, the way they’ve shot tonight, could still put up a clunker in OT.

I guess it takes Oregon about 38 minutes to start playing.

Easy double digit win, just like we all expected.

On a different day the ducks are 30 points better than the pilots.

Still can't believe Oregon found a way to pull out the win. It should never have been that close but they kept taking such horrible shots and playing crap defense. It wasn't until they turned the defensive intensity up that Portland finally started to show their inexperience and lack of chemistry.

I'd really like to see Shelstad be more of a calming force on offense. He plays sped up and erratic. Jacked up a lot of shots tonight (5/19) and probably killed even more offensive possessions.

Ok an early season head scratcher. Exciting last couple of minutes. Altman disgusted with the team after a close win. All is right with the basketball world.

DVR'd this last night, but the size of this thread worried me, so I looked. Thank goodness we won. I'm nervous to watch the game film though LOL.

Whew! That would have been a pretty bad loss. The Pilots, at home, were down at the half to Div. 2 Lewis & Clark before winning and were drilled by UCSB by over 40. I'm a little comforted by the fact that it's not all that uncommon for Top 25 teams to have a real clunker early in the season, and maybe all the more so in this age of teams having to get used to so many new faces due to the portal. Hopefully this really shows them how much work they need to consistently do and we won't see any more performances like this from the Ducks this year.

I also notice that, according to the box score, Supreme Cook did not play. Sure hope we see him next game.

The Altman postgame was classic Altman. I have to admit laughing at a lot of it, but history shows that the team eventually buys in. Going to miss this guy when he retires.
