Ducks take the lead with 5 minutes to go. Amazing. Hopefully they can keep up the good shooting.

College basketball is a game of runs, at this point ducks need to be patient, no forced shots. Last couple possessions seemed like guys are trying to force things, just play a smart game, use the entire shot clock if you need to, and find a good shot. Beavs will make some shots down the stretch, and Oregon will need some good looks to make sure they don’t completely turn the momentum around.

Bamba shooting a late contested shot on a key possession to take a two score lead is the last thing I’d want to see.

And a bad miss by Tracey on the following possession on a shot someone with his experience should made. Some poor offensive execution down the stretch. Ducks are slowing it down way too much on offense.

Man, this post did not age well. Ducks win, and Shelstad was the late hero.

Great win ducks! Huge second half! Wasn’t looking good for a while but they played tough down the stretch! After a rough start this season it was cool to see Bittle and Shelstad lead the team in the second half.

Something clicked the last 6 minutes of the game for him but there’s no denying that before that his shot was looking very flat, maybe he was in his own head and shooting too quickly or something and just needed to settle down.

They looked like a completely different team in the 2nd half. Would be nice if they played an entire game like they did the last 10-12 minutes. Bittle was nearly unstoppable down low and was a menace on defense and the glass. Great time for Shelstad to break out of his shooting slump. Also can't overlook the defense that Bam Tracey and the team played to take Rataj out of the game offensively.

Nice to see both Bittle and Shelstad get an early season confidence boost like this. Hopefully it is a bit of a springboard to great seasons for them both.

Will Kwame Evans start tapping into his potential at some point?

Wonder how much our deeper bench contributed to OSU's play the last 8 minutes of the game?
TO’s – 3
2’s Missed 4, Made 1
3’s Missed 4, Made 0
Ft’s Missed 2, Made 6
Did we just tire out the Beavers?
Better defense?
Combination of both?

Should get deeper. Still waiting for the Ukraine wing to get NCAA clearance.

I was really hoping that Evans made a jump this year. It's disappointing that he can barely get on the floor.

Not to mention Mookie...

He had a good second half, but I'll also say that I'm not sure Shelstad should be starting over Barthelemy. He's just so erratic.

Always a joy to read through these threads after a (especially a really tough) win to see all the freaking out.

Bottom line: a good win on the road against what can (at least currently) be called a quality opponent.

WCC is going to be interesting this year with 5 teams who have a shot at the tournament. Oregon State has a lean schedule and really needed this one, though. Same could be said of San Francisco just narrowly losing to Memphis last night.
