Re: 2025 Oregon Commit List
I keep meaning to do an independent eval of the class, but I've been short on time. The very brief version is that, given its status is #8 in the country, I sort of expect more, but it's about on par with where Oregon has been. Dakorien Moore looks like an absolute stud, the top two OL commits are really solid, and there are just two commits that I think don't have the talent level for Oregon football in Jordon Davison and Demetri Manning. Everyone else is a "could be good but we'll see" and I don't anticipate day 1 contributors outside of potentially Moore, depending on how he adjusts.

Re: 2025 Oregon Commit List
Oregon has #1 class when you start by Average Rating btw (both in on3 and 247). If Oregon can have another top 10 transfer class, I think Ducks may have the most talented group this offseason coming in.StevensTechU wrote: Tue Nov 26, 2024 1:14 pm I keep meaning to do an independent eval of the class, but I've been short on time. I'd say that's two years in a row of top 5 talent (recruiting/transfer).

Re: 2025 Oregon Commit List
Why do you think that of Jordon Davison if he is the No. 5 RB in the ‘25 Class (per On3 Industry) and chose the Ducks over Ohio State, Michigan, & Alabama?StevensTechU wrote: Tue Nov 26, 2024 1:14 pm I keep meaning to do an independent eval of the class, but I've been short on time. Re: 2025 Oregon Commit List
I keep asking myself the same thing. But he's the slowest looking running back I can remember Oregon recruiting, including fellow Mater Dei 4* Sean Dollars who is currently finishing his career as a backup at Nevada. He looks overweight and doesn't break the commensurate tackles you'd hope for from bigger back. Demetri Manning similarly has a host of national offers, checks all the boxes on measurables, but looks unathletic and plodding.SuperDuck wrote: Tue Nov 26, 2024 3:17 pmWhy do you think that of Jordon Davison if he is the No.
Davison certainly doesn't excite via the eyeball test. It does look slow and he doesn't lift his legs. He's also dropped down in most recruiting services since his initial rankings about a year ago.
But perhaps the potential is there and with proper development, he can do good things for us.
