The Other Guys Early Signing Day

Looking around, and a few notes before the people who probably follow recruiting more than I do now chime in.

UCLA got raided. They had a decent class coming into the day, but lost 3 of their top prospects, with them defecting to Ohio State and two to Arkansas. I don't know the NIL situation, but two LA kids going to Arkansas over UCLA is and will always be wild to me.

USC had a mixed bag. They landed a 5* defensive lineman that Oregon was also interested in, but they had a whopping 14 decommits in this class before it was all said and done (altogether, not isolated to signing day). Their class is ranked #13 in the country, so not bad.

Oregon picked off two of uw's recruits in Vander Ploog and Zac Stascausky (suck it, huskies), but uw looks like they'll sign a whopping 30 players in this class to get to the #22 class in the country. Being the hater I am, I'll probably watch film on all of them to find out if Jedd Fisch's staff has the same eye for talent that Chris Petersen's did, but my guess is it will be another with dangerous pieces but not great altogether, similar to what they have on their current roster.

Over at OSU, just want to note that former Oregon cornerback Jalil Tucker has signed with the Beavs as a wide receiver after a year of JUCO ball.

Last thought- I really wish we could see the payroll for all the different schools the same way we do for the pros.
