Thought McNutt may stay home, with Offord decommitting. Best incoming frosh DB class ever at UO, at least in terms of expected talent?

For today anyways. Oregon still after Andrew Olesh, who's deciding on Friday, and LB McKay Madsen, who'll be committing in January at the All-American Bowl.

Mario probably out begging for some more NIL $$$. Have to think of all the places he doesn't want to lose a top recruit to its Oregon

I love that everyone attributes Oregon's success on the recruiting trail completely to NIL. Let me frame this as a question.

Oregon and Alabama have 21 recruits apiece and are rated #3 and #4 in the country. Do you think Alabama is spending less money on NIL than Oregon?

Similarly, Auburn has a losing record, a coach on the hot seat, and yet 25 recruits make up the #6 class in the country. Do you think Oregon is spending more money on NIL than Auburn?

I think everyone but Alabama and Auburn fans knows the answer to this question!

You have:
Lanning and Tosh Lupoi, 2 of the best recruiters in the country, Lupoi with over a decade of proven top tier results everywhere he has been.
Number 1 rated team most of the year, playing multi National broadcasts, many in a time slot with no real viewing competition.
Decades of swag and cool factor and consistent success.

Why wouldn't Oregon be a Top 10 recruiting team with any kind of NIL parity?

I always point out that Oregon literally played for two national titles during the decade before NIL was a thing. And while we didn't have this amazing of recruiting classes we were pretty consistently in the top 10-15 range for a bit -- and part of that was with Chip who hated recruiting and was notoriously stingy with offers.

NIL is certainly a factor and even an advantage for us, but it isn't why we're winning and recruiting well. That stuff isn't new to us. It was here before and it will be here going forward. This is the result of an operation that's in synch from top to bottom with the right people in the right places. It's also a shining example of why I wish Jody would sell the Blazers already.
Willie Taggart is a dick.
