I find 247 Sports' transfer portal rankings interesting, to say the least. Theran Johnson was a high 3* (88) out of high school. As a junior, he's 2nd team all Big Ten and so what does he get rated as a transfer player? High 3* again, but 87.

Apparently an 88 or above out of high school means you need to be at least 1st team Big Ten.

Yeah, I think Muhammad has been stellar. If we got another like him, I would be thrilled.

Muhamed has been solid, but he has given up some bad 3rd and longs vs PSU and the long 40 yard pass va UW. Anyways Johnson has almost an identical rating for the year on PFF as Muhamed. But Johnson has a faster 40.

Am I the only one loving us picking up the best of the Big Ten talent from the lower teams? Getting a safety and another corner back was crucial. Coaches doing a great job.

Not quite the same dominance as he had with the Huskies, but certainly an elite CB. He will be missed.

I'm really surprised at how quiet it's been on the offensive line front. Just saw one of the most coveted tackles, a 1st-team MAC selection from Bowling Green, is headed to Kentucky. Oregon hadn't offered. The other Oregon offer I've seen publicly is a kid out of Texas State who is maybe more of a guard than tackle.

Either they like what they have coming back, they're financially not in it for some of these kids, they don't like what's been available yet, or their pants are down (most unlikely).

I've been of the mindset that Conerly is gone baby gone to the NFL but he would be a very big reason to cool it on the OL Portal in addition to the rumor we heard weeks ago about the Clackamas/Boise St OT and we won't know on that one until the Spring. One area Josh does need to improve is his strength and that's just an age/time thing for him so there's at least 1 small reason for him to stay in addition to NIL.

Anyone seeing rumors that Novosad wants out? I wouldn't blame him - I think he is probably good enough to start somewhere- but it would be a bummer if Moore didn't work out and he didn't get his shot here. Hope he sticks around for the Spring at least to see if he can win the job.

Saw a tackle from Vandy is visiting this week. As for Connelly, he’s awesome but probably gets dinged for his size. I’m guessing he’s under 6’4 and about 290. Not ideal nfl size

On3 is reporting that Isaiah World and Gunner Hansen are visiting this week.

Thank you.

Hmm. Not exactly world* beaters, those two. I did see that the Stanford OT who might be the best guy in the portal at the position just picked Oklahoma.

Aren't both World and Hansen 3 year starters?

That sounds nice to me.

World seems to be the more ideal choice:
"World's PFF grades reflect his growth as a pass protector, posting an 82.2 pass-blocking grade in 2024, which ranked third among tackles in the Mountain West and tied for 26th nationally."

DB Khamari Terrell has entered the portal. He played a lot early in his career but hasn't seen the field much besides special teams this year.

Another OL to keep an eye on is Rice OT Ethan Onianwa.
