BYU and Colorado are basically fully intact teams, and BYU murdered them. Maybe the biggest "statement" win of the non-CFP games so far.

Colorado just isnt that good of a team. They played pretty weak teams all season, so their wins and record makes them appear better than they were if they were in the big10 or SEC.

Colorado wouldn’t be in the top 7 of the BIG, and that may be generous.

Yeah but they have the strutting, posing and individual attention seeking down pat. Good for recruiting? Thank you, Dan Lanning.Everythingsducky wrote: Sat Dec 28, 2024 8:37 pmAt least 45% of that was two players, Ward and Restrepo. And Ward played the first half. Miami’s defense is absolutely terrible, and has been all year.Alan wrote: Sat Dec 28, 2024 7:21 pm I listened to the Miami game in the car. it was reported that 52% of Miami's offensive production was sitting out due to NFL or portal. sad, needs fixed, with NIL they are paid employees of the program, paid to play!

I read your comment first before the quoted post for context. I initially assumed it was directed at Colofraudo.

When I hear people say ESPN has too many debate shows and not enough highlights and celebration, I think the last few posts here illustrate why the former gets better ratings. Everything needs to be fodder for an argument or else it's not worthy of our attention.

Re: Other Guys Bowl Games 2024
Watching this Iowa - Missouri game, I'd struggle to tell you what exactly Iowa does better than Missouri in this game, yet they're up 24-21 toward the end of the 3rd. Some big plays on special teams helps, but their offense is running the ball well and gets just enough playmaking from their quarterback to march down the field.
As much as California talent has got vacuumed up by southeast schools, the same can be said of top tier midwest offensive line talent. They're not terrible, but schools like Iowa and Wisconsin don't have the future NFL players on the line that they used to.

Missouri's kicker hit a 51 yard FG to tie it, then a 56 yarder to take the lead. First lead of the game, and now Iowa has the ball with 4 minutes to go down three. Iowa's kicker is an average college kicker....

Iowa bloooooooooows it. 4th & 1, didn't want to use their last timeout, QB sneak just goes absolutely nowhere*. That's the second huge play where the QB tries to run himself and goes backward. Missouri fans erupt in an "S-E-C" chant to remind everyone how big of losers they are as they remind you their big brothers are Alabama and Georgia.

Man, Iowa is frustrating to watch on offense.
The kicker for Missouri won them that game. That guy is unbelievable.

Michigan vs. Alabama is a 15 point spread. Michigan was playing its best ball at the end of the year, but the opt* outs are largely one-sided in this one, so UM's freshman team is going to play Jalen Milroe and Alabama in this one. Bowl season has been a lot of tight contests but this one might be a drubbing.

Well that first drive was promising for the Michigan defense.StevensTechU wrote: Tue Dec 31, 2024 9:56 am Michigan vs. Alabama is a 15 point spread. Re: Other Guys Bowl Games 2024
I have to imagine that Michigan would love if this rain continued like this the whole game. Alabama relies on the passing game more than Michigan does by a wide margin.UOducksTK1 wrote: Tue Dec 31, 2024 10:10 amWell that first drive was promising for the Michigan defense.StevensTechU wrote: Tue Dec 31, 2024 9:56 am Michigan vs. Alabama is a 15 point spread. Before I even finished typing, Alabama mishandles a snap and Michigan has the ball deep in Bama territory. Jalen Millroe = Small Hands Goff.
