Perhaps reason for optimism? in the current NET rankings, Oregon is 20, Ohio State is 31. In Quad1 games, Ohio State is 2-5, Oregon is 5-2. Penn State is 48 in NET & 1-1 in Quad1 games. Ohio State is 10-5, Penn State is 12-3, apparently against a less than challenging schedule.

Which Shelstad and Oregon team will show up?

That seems to be the case. The quality depth of this team is huge, but as Shelstad goes, so goes the Ducks.

Not sure what to make of the NET rankings, because I can't understand how Arizona is 7 spots ahead of the Ducks with a 2-5 record against Quad 1s, and 9-5 overall. That fluke Illinois blowout at home must be weighing incredibly heavy on NET, because I don't see any reason the Ducks should be as low as 21. They have the 2nd most Quad 1 wins in the NCAA and are ranked 5th in WAB (Wins Above Bubble). If it is the Illinois game, then I'm assuming a larger sample size will start to nullify that impact, but still seems pretty whack that another team with 3 extra losses would be that far ahead of them given their strength of schedules aren't that drastically different. Ducks still have a top 25 SOS.

That is bizarre, as is Oregon being 20 last night, then Tennessee loses its first game, to Florida. Tennessee was 3 in NET before the Florida L, and is still 3, Oregon is now 21, Florida jumped from 8 to 5.

If I'm not mistaken, Dana's style of play has a negative effect on it too?

4 assists and 9 turnovers ain’t good. Bamba being ineffective, no surprise. Dana will get them going at halftime.

Bittle and Shelstad are really all the Ducks got this game. Too many of the others are only looking for their own shot. Ball should constantly touch those two.

Not looking great. Still a chance for Oregon to come back, but down 7 with 3 left.

Huge win! Oregon wasn't looking good in the 2nd half. Bittle/Shelstad brought it at the end.
