At this point we are fighting for a top 9 seed in the Big Ten tournament so we get a bye.
We are currently 9th right now.

Rutgers is a more difficult opponent than the record would suggest with 2 projected top 3 picks in this draft. Those guys have both been injured at various times this year, or they’d have a better record. Not looking for style points at this point in time. Just keep picking up wins.

This is the best this team has looked in a while! Defense this second half has been really good, and the hot shooting helps too. Evans is really improving right now! Also best minutes from Moss all season.

I know it’s only Rutgers, but Bailey and Harper were shutdown.OregonFan4Life wrote: Sun Feb 16, 2025 7:00 pm This is the best this team has looked in a while! It was their combined lowest output of the year. That’s amazing.
I would love for us to split the Iowa/Wisconsin road trip next week.

It was a win, over Rutgers, back to back, with Northwestern. The difference between this and the losses that turned the season upside down, is that the 3 went in. I agree with Casey Jacobson, who called the game, this 2 game winning streak, does not put the Ducks back on track to contend for the B1G title.
One play sticks out, Bittle was at the basket, somehow Rutgers ended up with a guard on him. Instead of feeding Bittle, Bamba passed it out to Shelstad, who took, and missed a 3. Bailey didn't score anywhere close to his average, but I didn't see Oregon's defense playing a big part in that. I didn't really see Oregon improving, other than the 3's going in, in the area's they've been so bad in the 2nd half of the season. Are these two games the start of the Altman run? I hope so, but it will take more than hitting 3's.

We trapped Bailey a lot actually and he was denied the ball frequently as well. We let their auxiliary players take the majority of the shots and that went well for us.
Bamba was all over Ace.

Probably betraying my basketball ignorance, but this game made me feel better about PDX not tanking for a top three pick.
