Shelstad will return for 2025-26

In no surprise but a bit of a relief, Jackson Shelstad will be returning for next season. Now they've got to find some decent players to surround him with.

At least decent, that was the case last season, hopefully Bittle and Evans both return.

Free agency every year sucks so bad for fans.

Beavis' best player just got 7 figures from Baylor.

Shelstad is a really good player, but with another offseason I hope he can grow his game to being a really good point guard on top of a really good player. I’m excited to see him come back and I’ll be curious to see how his game evolves next season.

Hopefully Bittle and Shelstad can also create a trend for Oregon of keeping starters and maintaining a more veteran based team in the NIL era. As a 2nd rounder Toumani only made about 1.12 M last year which of course isn't nothing, but perhaps that also helps entice more 4* level guys to stay around for the money, exposure and development. Jackson is kind of on that same PP upward trend and with the NBA not really being a developmental league and its clearly made the difference for PP to have not tried to leave early because for these players the big money comes from that 2nd contract.

Houston beat all that young talent for Duke in part because of their experience and its probably the easier strategy for us to emulate
