Montana State vs Oklahoma State on a neutral field, who wins?

Post by OregonFan4Life »

I’ve been asking duck friends and curious what people on this forum think, but if Montana State and Oklahoma State played on a neutral field this weekend, who do you think would win? Injuries are considered, so basically it’s between the two rosters the ducks have faced, not a matchup between two fully healthy rosters.

That was an easy choice.

Yes with that qualification that OK State had to use the QB we played against, not the injured speedster.

Thanks to those that answered the question. I asked cause after Oregon beatdown Oklahoma State they started to get a little national attention, and that’s fun to see but to me personally it doesn’t say a ton about this team, we still don’t know just how good they cause of how bad the competition has been. I know this team has a very high ceiling, but I don’t think we’ll truly know how good this team is until they play Penn State. I don’t think bowling out Northwestern and Oregon State will tell us much as those teams also aren’t much better than Montana State, if at all.

I probably would have picked OK State if their QB1 was playing, but otherwise yes Montana State.

I’d still pick Ok State, even with Flores.

I’d still pick Ok State, even with Flores. I don’t think Montana st is near as good as people want to talk them up to being. Just like when NDSU fans kept telling us how awesome they are. It’s a totally different game and class of athlete

I think there’s a good chance you’re right, and I did pick Oklahoma State. While overall Okie State does have better athletes, the coaching at Okie State is so bad, they’re a hot mess. Gundy has clearly phoned it in (he was apparently taking photos with duck fans after the blowout loss), and it showed on the film reviews; guys were constantly out of position. While Oregon did physically dominate them, there were times Oregon was just able to also take advantage of their poor pre-snap alignments and miscommunications.

Because of the coaching aspect, I do think there’s a solid chance Montana State would beat them. But simply due to having bigger faster athletes, I’d pick Okie State in a close one.
