Re: Ex-Ducks NFL Status
I love that the same time that Jake Browning gets called up so the poodles can say they have the same # of starting QBs in the league, Marcus will start once again tying us with Oklahoma for active starting QBs (Caleb Williams, Jalen Hurts, Baker Mayfield)
If we can get Dillon, Marcus, Bo and Justin I don't know the last time one school had 4 starting QBs.

But finished at SUC so OU can claim only 2. If not then they can claim Dillon too.

Caleb Williams isn’t a OU Qb, and neither is Rattler.Duck07 wrote: Fri Sep 19, 2025 10:40 am I love that the same time that Jake Browning gets called up so the poodles can say they have the same # of starting QBs in the league, Marcus will start once again tying us with Oklahoma for active starting QBs (Caleb Williams, Jalen Hurts, Baker Mayfield)

Shoot, and I was getting all excited about the Hall of Fame prospects of Tyler Shough.buckmarkduck wrote: Sat Sep 20, 2025 5:15 amCaleb Williams isn’t a OU Qb, and neither is Rattler.Duck07 wrote: Fri Sep 19, 2025 10:40 am I love that the same time that Jake Browning gets called up so the poodles can say they have the same # of starting QBs in the league, Marcus will start once again tying us with Oklahoma for active starting QBs (Caleb Williams, Jalen Hurts, Baker Mayfield)

I would say if Gabriel had been at Oklahoma for four years, but actually, he was at UCF longer. Imagine if Travis Dye had made it big in the NFL though. Would he be a Trojan or a Duck?

This is important for recruiting. So the broadest definition of a duck is the one to use. Once a duck, always a duck.
For years there was a crazy stat that an Oregon player was in the league every year going back to Van Brocklin in 1949. Did that streak get broken?

No it didn't. Since seeing that ten or so years ago, I've paid attention and we've been in good shape with Marcus and Justin.73duck wrote: Sat Sep 20, 2025 7:39 am This is important for recruiting. So the broadest definition of a duck is the one to use. Once a duck, always a duck.

The stat is actually completing or attempting a pass, not just being in the league. #QBUStevensTechU wrote: Sat Sep 20, 2025 11:03 amNo it didn't.
