Good move by Oklahoma State, need to communicate they are taking football seriously and nobody, not even Gundy, is above the program like he thought he was.

He did good things for them for a time, but it's clearly not happening anymore. A little surprised too, but it's the right call.

Given his longevity and close ties, I thought they'd let him finish the season. I don't know what's to be gained by firing him midseason.

If you could find a coach midseason, then it would give them time to redeem the recruiting class and just get an overall head start. But I don't think hiring will really happen anyway until we get closer to the end of the season. So it's a fair point.

Did T. Boone Pickens leave any allowance for NIL before his passing?

Gundy mentioned that they didn't have the money Oregon has for recruiting.

Did Pickens leave them high and dry?

When even SEC shorts mocks you, I guess it's time to go. I wonder if he'll coach again. He's only 40 after all.
