If Daniel Jones can resurrect his career, so can Marcus. I just think 4 coordinators in 4 years and injuries finally caught up with him. He can play. Or maybe I’m myopic since I adore the kid.

Re: Ex-Ducks NFL Status
Mariota is on his 11th season. I'd imagine retirement isn't more than a few seasons away.
Statistically, Mariota did good things. Wish he found a better situation earlier like Daniel Jones has after his 6 years in the NFL.

Yeah, I've heard stories of him retiring sooner rather than later, even stories saying that his heart just isn't into as much anymore. Unfortunately he likely won't get a situation like Jones did. He's easily the best backup in the league, but i wonder if he's been type cast at this point in his career

Happy for MM8, but unfortunate for Daniels. I said he would follow a path similar to RGIII, and unfortunately so far I appear to be right. He’s just to slight to be running so much in the NFL.

After being drafted in the 7th round and then released by the Chargers, Trikweze Bridges has apparently caught on with the Cowboys and picked off Bo Nix today. Glad to see him have a good day, even if it was at Bo's expense. I kinda wonder if they put Trikweze in there because he had a lot of experience defending vs Bo in practice at Oregon. Anyway, Bo recovered and threw 4 TD's en route to a Bronco victory.

It would be nice to bring Marcus on staff in some capacity at Oregon when he retires. That statement alone makes me feel OLD.

I think what he'd be best at is the same role Tony Washington used to do, director of player personnel. QB coach is often the gateway to being OC, and it would take him some time to get there.bdkipe wrote: Mon Oct 27, 2025 2:07 pm It would be nice to bring Marcus on staff in some capacity at Oregon when he retires. Ah, thanks for the update. So maybe Bo is the one who took advantage of having played against Bridges in practice.TheDrake wrote: Mon Oct 27, 2025 2:41 pmPhalanx wrote: Sun Oct 26, 2025 5:29 pm After being drafted in the 7th round and then released by the Chargers, Trikweze Bridges has apparently caught on with the Cowboys and picked off Bo Nix today. Before games this weekend, both Juwan Johnson and Troy Franklin rank in the top 32 in the league in receptions.

Justin Herbert threw 2 TDs and ran for another in the Chargers' win over the Titans.
