Yeah in fact, I think players like Owa or Gabe would be better additions at this point. But of course, you always want as much explosive talent on offense as possible, so Lache coming would still be huge.ksmack wrote:All would not be lossed if we didn't get Lache "Lake" Seastrunk. he is a great Talent...I hated how the Bryce Brown sweepstakes played out! . I am glad we have Dontae Williams he is a stud...and to have LMJ and Kenjon all working with Gary Campell.. Ducks have a nice backfield. There is always the 2011 class

Only 3 more days until Lache announces. Let's get these final days before LOI day off to a good start! So those of you with "sources", what are the odds right now that Seastrunk will be a duck?

70% is the average of what I'm told.duckgrad99 wrote:Only 3 more days until Lache announces. Let's get these final days before LOI day off to a good start! So those of you with "sources", what are the odds right now that Seastrunk will be a duck?
Memphis is 20%
LSU is 10%
Memphis should bring UO down to 50, bumping them up to 40. There's a good chance that he'll want to carry a team on is own (not to mention LSU's coach that recruited him is there now), and LSU really just depends on how bad he wants his girl. If they aren't that "serious" then LSU is out, leaving the decision to be championships (Ducks) vs. leadership (Memphis).

Thanks, I will be crossing my fingers until then.

According to this (written by Mike Farrell), LSU and Auburn have stopped recruiting Lache. We've been seeing rumors about that, but this is from a pretty solid source.
If true I think he's all ours. Alot has been made about Lache's enjoyment of the spotlight. While he won't get the same attention here than he would at USC, he'll certainly get more here w/ Nike, a top pac 10 team in an awesome offense w/ a great offensive mind, than he would at MEMPHIS. Quick name one other Memphis football player, current, or past not named Deangello Williams. I sure can't.
I think Lache's all ours and I love the fact that he'll be announcing it a week early! Chip & Co. have GOT to use that momentum to lock up the Owa's of the world!

My source says Lache is a silent to Oregon, but we all know about how much that means in relation to actually signing the LOI. This, in addition to the other "signs", all point to great news for Duck fans!

If Kelly wins this one, you know he'll use it to lockdown three others we're targeting...Jan 27th will determine whether it's another above average recruiting class, or the best.

I am not getting my hopes up. Too many let downs. Easley was a silent and we know what happened with that. What time is he scheduled to announce.. anyone know. Will he do it on TV and if so who. I know ESPN has a recruiting insider on wednesday I wonder if that is the when and the where. If anyone has information could they pass it along as I will be off that day.

I remember reading like 4:15 pm central time, so maybe around 2:15pm Oregon time.

Re: Seastrunk to announce the 27th
so with a lot of the reason Seastrunk was never interested in Tennessee being due to things like the football player robberies, if today's rumors are true how does that affect his decision? If he has been a silent verbal to UO do you think he reconsiders, delays announcing, or changes his mind?

I think that him not liking Tennessee had more to deal with his family not being comfortable with the coaching staff than with the robberies.pikestick wrote:so with a lot of the reason Seastrunk was never interested in Tennessee being due to things like the football player robberies, if today's rumors are true how does that affect his decision?
