Give me Ohio State, but my hope is a long hard fought battle that leaves both teams banged up, and maybe for karma’s sake Carnell Tate can get injured so they know what it feels like.

Two very good teams and pretty evenly matched. Ohio state is much deeper, so giving them the slight edge in this game and playoff run.

It comes down to Ohio state’s D vs Indiana’s O. It’s a bit of a toss-up for me.
If I had to chose, I think Indiana is the slightly better team and game plans better.

I think it's basically a tossup, but Indiana has that one win on the road against the Ducks, where Ohio State really hasn't played anyone close to that level yet. Michigan & Texas are good teams, but not as good as Oregon.
That said, I'll take Indiana by 3.

This might well sound silly and completely uninformed, but I just cannot comprehend how it is that the Hoosiers have ascended to this level so quickly (last couple of years). They certainly have done well in the portal, but plenty of other teams (like the Ducks) have done as well or better. Their recruiting hasn't been anywhere near top level according to recruiting rankings. Do they just have terrific coaching? I keep thinking that sometime, maybe very soon, they're going to get "figured out" by some team's coaching staff. And maybe I'll just keep getting disappointed
.
Anyway, I'll go with tOSU.

They have more NFL guys than they get credit for because those guys were under the radar as high school recruits, and they've surrounded those NFL guys with high level college players. When all-conference teams come out, Indiana will be all over it.Greenblood wrote: Mon Dec 01, 2025 10:17 am This might well sound silly and completely uninformed, but I just cannot comprehend how it is that the Hoosiers have ascended to this level so quickly (last couple of years). I hate to say it, but Curt Cignetti is a very good coach, too. His overall record proves.StevensTechU wrote: Mon Dec 01, 2025 10:34 amThey have more NFL guys than they get credit for because those guys were under the radar as high school recruits, and they've surrounded those NFL guys with high level college players. Re: Big Ten Championship - Indiana vs Ohio State
One thing that's pretty cool about this game is that it really does feel like a true CCG. The B1G schedule didn't have the two teams face each other during the regular season, I think they've clearly shown they're (thus far) the two best teams in the B1G and there's the added bonus that they're the only unbeaten teams in the country and ranked #1 and #2. The setup couldn't be much better.

I was reading somewhere where OSU hasn’t won a B1G title in something like 5 years. That surprised me.

There's no reason for either of these teams to play in this game. They should play backups, and at thud speed.

The loser may drop from 1st or 2nd to 3rd or 4th seed. I could definitely see TT jumping the loser and maybe Georgia if they are dominant against Alabama.
Bigger Motivation:
Winning the Conference championship probably pays the coaches incentive bonuses. Besides being the Conference Champ is meaningful in itself, particularly for Indiana. Conference Champ = Great Season, National Champ = Super Season.
