tOSU just isn’t good enough offensively (QB) to be a truly scary team. They could dominate you for 3 quarters and only be up 10 points.

Just look at how hard it is for them to get 3 points to tie this game up.

It's so gross that Sayin is somehow a Heisman candidate on that schedule.

It’s basically the coaches poll for players. I don’t even pay attention to the Heisman unless a Duck is in the running.

I know Mendoza will win the Heisman and I’m not trying to say he shouldn’t, but he and the offense isn’t the reason they’re the #1 team, it’s their suffocating defense and the game plan by their incredible DC, Bryant Haines. I did not think they’d beat Ohio State in this manner.

A truly strange story. Two years ago no one even remembered they had a football team. They roll into Autzen and dispatch us, then roll into the Big Championship game and dispatch Ohio State. What in the world are we watching?

Well at least that might change the thinking of our loss to them.

With 20/20 hindsight, a little surprised none of the P4 teams even interviewed or considered Indiana's coordinators before hastily making their hires. Hahaha

I think it's basically a tossup, but Indiana has that one win on the road against the Ducks, where Ohio State really hasn't played anyone close to that level yet. Michigan & Texas are good teams, but not as good as Oregon.

That said, I'll take Indiana by 3.

Maybe I’m overly biased but if Oregon gets healthy and doesn’t sabotage their own drives with silly mistakes or weird playcalling, I don’t see any reason that Oregon couldn’t beat either of these teams.

I think Oregon is capable of beating either team. I also think either team has and defensive front seven capable of dominating our offensive line.

Depends on which OLine shows up. The OLine that showed up against Iowa wouldn’t get dominated by either front seven IMO. Our OLine was fine against Indiana, Dante created 4 of the 6 sacks in that game.

I think the Ducks realized after the Indiana game that their O-Line was going to need help against some teams. Alex Harkey got exposed in that game, as the outside rusher was so fast he'd just blow past him.

The Ducks have been doing several things since then to help protect Dante. Move the pocket more, run Dante in some situations, run 2 back and 2 TE sets, etc. If Dante isn't upright we're toast, so they'll need to be extra prepared moving forward.

If we stay at #5, we'll get what should be a manageable game vs James Madison. After that it gets a LOT harder with likely matchups vs Texas Tech and, if we're fortunate enough to get past them, likely a rematch against Indiana.

I was also surprised by their recruiting class this year. I don't know what they were rated, but I checked their player list and they only had three 4 star players and the rest were all 3 stars. That kind of surprised me based on the success they've had the past 2 years.

I honestly think if the OLine is healthy, they’re better off starting Gernorris Wilson at RT with Harkey at RG. Harkey is a G, not a T, and while Harkey has struggled at pass protection at RT, his run blocking has been very good and that’s something Iuli has struggled with frequently this season.
