Heisman 2025
Finalists: Fernando Mendoza (Indiana), Diego Pavia (Vanderbilt), Jeremiyah Love (Notre Dame), and Julian Sayin (Ohio State)
The 5-10 vote recipients were released yesterday, and I expected Dante Moore to at least get mentioned as I have little doubt he's a top 3ish QB in college football this year. Well, nope. Apparently voters don't think he compares to Trinidad Chambliss and Gunner Stockton, which further illuminates ESPN/SEC's impact on the sport.
5. Jacob Rodriguez (Texas Tech)
6. Jeremiah Smith (Ohio State)
7. Gunner Stockton (Georgia)
8. Trinidad Chambliss (Secessionists)
9. Caleb Downs (Ohio State)
10. Haynes King (Georgia Tech)

Pavia. Sayin is a system QB. I'm Ok with Mendoza though, he did as miraculous as a run as Pavia did. Two historically bottom dwelling teams with historic runs!

Re: Heisman 2025
I was comparing stats the other day and Dante's are significantly lower than some of these finalists. Less passing TD's, only one running TD, 18th in QBR while Saying and Mendoza are #2 and #3. It seems like having injured WR's took a toll.

HeisMendoza
Dude won in Autzen, undefeated with multiple Heisman level moments such as getting smoked on the 1st play against OSU and still winning.
Sayin being on the list is a joke though. At no point have I ever watched him and thought he's the most outstanding player on the field.

The list itself is sad. Jeanty would win if his played this year. Penix would win this year. It's just not a great pool to draw from.
Pavia is a fun player but he's not in the discussion if I'm thinking about who I draft first for my college football team.

Pavia is a Wal-Mart knockoff Johnny Manziel.
Just a complete douchebag.
His antics last night and over the course of the season took him from lovable undersized giant slayer to a dude whom everyone is rooting against…unless you are a student or alum of The Stanford for Gifted Rednecks.

Gabriel threw for 900 more yards last year than Mendoza. And also went 13-0.StevensTechU wrote: Fri Dec 12, 2025 2:28 pm The list itself is sad. Jeanty would win if his played this year. Penix would win this year. It's just not a great pool to draw from.
