Re: Coaching Hot Seat
If Jedd Fisch goes to Michigan does Brian Kelly end up in Seattle doing a grunge impersonation or double fisting coffee cups at his press conference?

Some guy's list of potential coaching candidates. Lots of NFL names.

According to Josh Pate, Michigan has known about this for months so have likely talked to a few potential HCs already.
Also, apparently Moore is in a psych ward after domestic violence at his house, breaking into his mistress' home and then threatening to kill himself. Such an odd and sad situation.

This is pretty similar to what I've seen. No source, but I've heard that he threatened to kill himself, and then drove to the staffers house and threatened to kill hergreenyellow wrote: Wed Dec 10, 2025 11:54 pm According to Josh Pate, Michigan has known about this for months so have likely talked to a few potential HCs already.

Sounds as if he was already in police custody even before the announcement of his firing happened.

Re: Coaching Hot Seat
Given the nature of everything that happened, and when information was released, that's not surprising. The firing took place before any announcement was made. Moore probably lost his s***, and the university caught wind of what was going on pretty quick, so they decided to wait until he was in custody before any official announcement.Greenblood wrote: Thu Dec 11, 2025 7:47 am Sounds as if he was already in police custody even before the announcement of his firing happened.

Re: Coaching Hot Seat
I cant possibly see the appeal for WSU.
Rick hasn't been a good coach like ever and his personality does not fit with todays athletes when he was already out of touch 25 years ago.
You certainly don't hire Rick to get Jerry when he'll leave for UCLA so just an all around bad idea.

I can't imagine Jerry, who has only ever really known Los Angeles, would have the slightest interest in Pullman.

Kyle Whittingham is stepping down after the bowl game. Add Utah to the list with Michigan for open jobs.

Re: Coaching Hot Seat
Washington State has hired Kirby Moore. Moore was the offensive coordinator at Missouri this year, so it's seemingly a solid get.
I thought Oregon State would have the benefit of being the best or second best program in their new conference from a financial perspective, allowing them to spend more on coaches and players. However, based on what they're paying their new coach, it would appear they're behind most of the conference. Reporting is that the head coach and assistant salary pools are both lower than Bray and staff. I'll post a link when I find it again.

Utah already had a plan in place for their Defensive Coordinator to take over.Duck07 wrote: Fri Dec 12, 2025 7:13 pm Kyle Whittingham is stepping down after the bowl game. Add Utah to the list with Michigan for open jobs.

"Whittingham is expected to be succeeded by defensive coordinator Morgan Scalley, who Harlan announced as the head coach in waiting on July 1, 2024."
