I agree, what hit me was them being high school sweethearts and staying committed but both taking their own path to two amazing careers.

I'm still trying to suss out how good Miami really is. They obviously look very good last night, but their total body of work on the season includes a couple of losses to mid teams and only a couple of 'quality' wins. Last night OSU looked awful, at least by what we expect from OSU. Right now I'm leaning towards Miami having a legit defense and a mid offense. They over performed on both sides of the ball due to OSU having the layover hangover. I guess we'll have more data points on that by the end of the day.

I'm sort of in the same spot. I think they're still sort of a poor person's Texas Tech, with the offense a little worse and defense a little worse. But fans love name recognition, and will convince themselves that Rueben Bain and Alhkeem Messidor are themselves the best D in the country.

I hate Alabama and protest their inclusion in the playoffs and how favorable their road is. Having said that, it would be awesome to play them in the next round. Having a win over Alabama on your way to the natty would be so poetic.

Im not sure who I want to win the Rose Bowl. I do think Bama is the easier matchup but at the same time the team would have HUGE chip on their shoulders if they have to face Indiana again.

It's a win win either way. I wouldn't mind putting a W against Bama on the resume (even if they don't belong in the CFP), but a rematch Vs Indiana also has a lot of appeal...

As the game starts I find myself rooting for Bama which I didn’t expect. I feel like Indiana hasn’t paid their dues yet, they are too new to the scene and don’t deserve a natty yet. They need to go through more years of heartbreak like Oregon.

You can root for whoever you want, but Indiana has been playing since 1887, so pretty sure they've paid enough dues. Rooting for a team to win because they have always won is how we got the system we have in the first place.

You can root for whoever you want, but Indiana has been playing since 1887, so pretty sure they've paid enough dues. Rooting for a team to win because they have always won is how we got the system we have in the first place.

I can be jealous if I want to. It’s not fair how much heartbreak we’ve gone through as duck fans.
