Do you guys think the SEC-loving playoff committee arranged the rankings so that SEC teams would play each other and at least win a few playoff games that way? They are really getting hammered so far otherwise. It was funny watching Vandy trying to do their big 4th quarter steamroll thing and Iowa stopped it with a few bunched up 3rd down runs up the middle to eat a huge part of the 4th quarter. I think this conference Oregon landed in likes to win bowl games. USC better figure it out.
The Big 12 isn't messing around. Utah has the worse opt out situation and they're killing Nebraska. It's the Big 10's tenth best team against the Big 12's third best, but it's still a murder.
Seems like Big Ten defenses may not be as good as everyone thought but the B1G is doing well on offense (outside of Nebraska).
Looks like Texas might give the SEC their first postseason win against another P4 conference in a Michigan team that’s a complete disaster. But I’m ESPN will cover this win a lot and use it as a reason to continue and obsess over Arch Manning.
The Sun Belt scheduling an intra-conference bowl game is dumb! The SEC having intra-conference CFP (bowl games) is a different kind of dumb that is the fault of the CFP committee. I think it's more one of 2 scenarios. Either setting to ensure a B1G vs SEC championship game, or an SEC vs SEC championing game.
The Sun Belt situation was because of a bunch of bowl eligible teams opting out. The bowl decided to get a rivalry game as a result. I don't fault them.
