Won't really blame him or Thieneman for turning pro this year. Not much they can do to improve their draft stock. With only Jamari, Olesh, Harrison, and Pugliano on the roster, Oregon will likely try to find at least 1 more TE in the portal.

I wonder if it frees up some budget to bring Saleapaga back. He seems like a good, budget-friendly choice.

Having good replacements for them also helps alleviate the expected departures. Sadiq is one of the best athletes ever to play for Oregon.greenyellow wrote: Tue Jan 13, 2026 4:31 pm Won't really blame him or Thieneman for turning pro this year. Since I clearly haven’t displayed my disdain for Stein enough, I’ll just have to say, it was criminal how under utilized Sadiq was last season. Only game he felt properly utilized was Minnesota. Outside of that game felt like Stein failed to utilize Sadiq properly and allow him to be the unguardable weapon he could’ve been.

This. And defenses started rolling all their coverages towards him as the RPO/TE Choice route combo started heating up for the ducks. It did leave Jamari wide open a bunch when they were in 12 Personal (See that JMU touchdown as evidence).pudgejeff wrote: Tue Jan 13, 2026 5:08 pmIt felt like he never recovered from the injury against RutgersOregonFan4Life wrote: Tue Jan 13, 2026 5:05 pm Since I clearly haven’t displayed my disdain for Stein enough, I’ll just have to say, it was criminal how under utilized Sadiq was last season. Re: Sadiq leaving to go pro
He landed hard several times and I think he tried to play through it. I remember during a couple games I kept hollering "pass to Sadiq!"' I believe he was underutilized even before he was hurt. I just do not understand that.

Re: Sadiq leaving to go pro
Sadiq is probably the Chiefs #1 prospect to replace Kelce, we'll see if he makes it to them or not.
Sad those numbers show the Ed Dickson treatment since we know he's got so much more to offer
