Lowe visiting this weekend
per ESPN:
http://insider.espn.go.com/espn/blog/in ... Recruiting
Says Lowe is visiting this weekend and that Oregon is looking at him at WR. Just reaffirms what was been mentioned on this board, I suppose. It also says he'll have his decision early next week.

Re: Lowe visiting this weekend
I really see Lowe making the switch to Oregon, the possibilities being in the spread offense I think add more weight to him deciding oregon..he can be used in different situations on offense. I think either way if we get Jefferson or not.. Oregon will press hard for Lowe and he would be a great addition to the DUCKS.

After reading about Jeffereson's trip to FUCLA, I kinda hope we take Lowe if he is wanting to ditch the Dawgs. It is always fun sticking it to the Huskies.

Is this a good thing?
Don't get me wrong, I understand that this kid is fast, and it's nice to keep in-state talent in state, but I haven't seen enough of him to be impressed by him.
Is he that good? Or are his 4 stars based more on potential?
Seems to me, what I've read about Jefferson impresses me much more than what I've seen of Lowe.

Following your logic, you haven't seen enough of him to be down on him and I would bet you haven't seen any of Jefferson at all to have an opinion either way. Either would be good in the system. I would argue, however, that they should not be compared. One is being recruited on O and the other on D.

We will not be getting Jefferson, and the coaches are already moving on to other targets. And lowe's stars are legit, he is a baller and would be a good pickup for the ducks, if the coaches want to give him a spot.

Re: Lowe visiting this weekend
Didn't he have like 350 yards of total offense in the State Championship game? I haven't heard anything bad about him, he sounds legit to me. They don't hand out 4-star's on Rivals just for sh/ts and giggles...

Duckfan do you have some inside info or is it more of a gut feeling? My gut is also telling me we lose out on Jefferson. I would like to be wrong.

Re: Lowe visiting this weekend
Lowe gives you very quick speed, and nice hands! Got to watch some of his games this year! I can understand his 4 star rating, definitely not a 5 star...
Lowe to me is not better than Jefferson.. but Oregon has a better shot at Lowe than Jefferson.
I mean honestly our spread attack ranks close to top in the nation in yards etc. I mean if Oregon would of ran more misdirection and trips right or left plays, I think we would of had a better shot at the Rose bowl title...I mean we were right there! Kenjon was killing OSU! anytime you play against bigger/stronger/quick D lineman like Ohio st. you have to use there strengths against them..and that is misdirection plays....and of course better passing (something Oregon did not have that night or really all season, this next year should be different!) Lowe would not be a bad addition.

What logic? All I said was what I'd seen of him didn't knock my socks off, or, to quote Kenny Vance, blow my skirt up.jimmy12 wrote:Following your logic, you haven't seen enough of him to be down on him and I would bet you haven't seen any of Jefferson at all to have an opinion either way. You're right in suggesting that I haven't seen anything of Jefferson, however, I know he's a 6'2 corner that shut down Robert Woods one-on-one.
I was simply asking a question if Lowe is THAT good, regardless of comparrison?
I don't know hardly anything about one, and the other seemingly has NFL written all over him. That's all I'm saying.
Sell me on Lowe.

if you watch the championship game, you can tell that if nothing else lowe has got a ton of heart.
i was rooting against him in that game since at the time i figured him to be a full blown fuskie, but he actually gained a lot of my respect.

Re: Lowe visiting this weekend
Last time I checked, the NFL LOVES corners who can run. They also love corners who can cover. They also love athletic corners. Most importantly, they love BIG corners.sx1080 wrote: "NFL written all over him"?? HUH? give me a break.
So tell me, what's not to drool about when talking about a 6'2 CB who can run (evidenced by the fact that he blanketed Robert Woods head to head), who's athletic enough to play on either side of the ball, and, oh yeah... SHUT DOWN ROBERT WOODS!
I never said he was NFL BOUND. I said he seemingly had NFL written all over him.
SEEMINGLY a 6'2 athletic cover corner has the build to be an NFL corner... I'm missing what's wrong with that statement. So sx1080 after your break, please enlighten me...

I haven't seen him play either, but if Chip offers a scholarship, I'm sold.glazeduck wrote:Sell me on Lowe.
