TRANSFER: Oregon lands Arizona RB Brandon Smith
Oregon has found a late RB transfer in 2026 4* Arizona RB signee Brandon Smith, who got released from his NLI this past weekend.

I watched his highlight tape the other day and came away pretty impressed.

Wasn't sure where to put this as he's not really a transfer and is more like a late 2026 signee. Smart addition by Samples and Oregon. He carried Fresno Central East HS to a state championship this past season. Here's the scouting report from Greg Biggins:
"Smith is one of the region’s best two-way athletes but long term, running back looks to be the meal ticket for him. Was productive on both sides of the ball the last two seasons, starring at running back and safety. A true game breaker and home run threat running the football and is among the most explosive backs out West. Elite track metrics and competed in five events last Spring with a personal best 10.67-100-meters, 21.52-200m and anchored the schools 4X400 relay team that finished 2nd at the CA State Track and Field Championship. Speed shows up on the football field and he’s able to accelerate and hit his top end gear after just a few strides. Also very good out of the backfield and has natural pass catching hands. Should create a ton of matchup problems at the college level because of his speed and versatility and he’s a player whose stock is really rising fast."
