Re: Lowe visiting this weekend
He had like 300something yards & 6 TDs in the title game. He definitely impressed me. I hadn't really cared that he was going to washington but after that game I was pretty dissapointed we didn't get him. Kids legit just a bit undersized.

Man I hope we land Jefferson because his size and skill you just don't see everyday but to compare Lowe to him is odd...the real question we should be asking is do we want Lowe over the other WRs we are recruiting in this class?
Lowe (4) vs. Lewis (2) vs. Huff (3) vs. McCartney (1)
(my choices) but I'd be pretty happy with any of them!
GO DUCKS!!

Re: Lowe visiting this weekend
I want him to be a duck just because I don't want him to come back to haunt us as a husky... and it's not exactly like 4* talent grows on trees in this state. We have to lock these guys up and it seems pretty obvious he really wants to be a Duck. His speed is legit and he could be a nice weapon in the slot running fly sweeps and end arounds.

Most people bring up the 6A Championship game, and for good reason, but he was unbelievable all year. Jesuit had an awesome set of tailbacks during Lowe's junior year, so Lowe played WR and tore it up there, too. Great talent from a winning program.

Oregon high school football is pretty crappy though. I mean to do that against Sheldon is impressive, but still isn't enough. Look at Acker, one of the most impressive football players I've ever seen in the state of Oregon, and he's got an offer from Portland State..oreducks77 wrote:Didn't he have like 350 yards of total offense in the State Championship game? Lowe should be a good college football player, but I'd rather have Jefferson.

I play for beaverton H.S and we play them every year. He is a monster! He had 5 touchdowns with 600 APY and 425 were rushing. He is a beast and I think that people say he inst that good beacuse he plays in oregon but he is just killing it here.

I think you are misinformed... Not including his amazing performance against Sheldon in the championship game, these are Lowe's stats:Duckattack7 wrote:I play for beaverton H.S and we play them every year. He is a monster! 110 rushes 903 yards 14 tds (118 receiving yards and 119 running yards against Beaverton.. not 600)
42 receptions 592 yards 7 ds
While Jefferson stats are..
27 rushes 222 yards 3 tds
63 receptions 1286 yards 15 tds
Considering both are being recruited as athletes (Jefferson likely DB and Lowe likely WR).

Not sure why folks still talking about Jeff being recruited @ WR. If he comes to Oregon is first look will be at corner.

Well... not including his state championship performance is a little baffling.UOducksTK1 wrote:I think you are misinformed... Stat comparisons are worthless here, regardless. Ken Potter runs a ground-based scheme, so Lowe's receiving numbers are skewed because Jesuit doesn't throw the ball much.

I think I had a post earlier that compared the two.MacDuck wrote:Not sure why folks still talking about Jeff being recruited @ WR. If he comes to Oregon is first look will be at corner.
The only reason I put the two in the comparison was that all of a sudden people started saying "we're not getting Jeff" with zero reasoning... Not even a girlfriend hahaha...
At the same time, the Lowe talk exploded, so I was simply ASKING if people were looking at us recruiting Lowe (an athlete) as a sign that we needed a plan B for Jeff...
No one gave any reasoning for why we all of a sudden "weren't getting Jefferson"... Oh no he's announcing his decision on his hometown's tv station!!!
Anyway, I think that's why they're being compared.

Re: Lowe visiting this weekend
I know, but the above poster claimed he had 600 yards against Beaverton this year which is not true. And my point is, there's no way to say one player is better than the other based on stats. They are clearly very similar. Anyway, there is a reason why Jefferson got offered by Cal, USC, Oklahoma, and Tennessee while Lowe did not. Jefferson has great size and they say he has some of the best ball skills on the west coast. How awesome would it be to have a 6'2"-6'3" CB for once?oregontrack wrote:Well... not including his state championship performance is a little baffling.UOducksTK1 wrote:I think you are misinformed... Lowe could be fun at WR, but Jefferson IMO would be a stud for us at CB..

Watched the 6A championship
Lowe is a stud with a heart bigger than Alaska. He single handedly kept jesuit in the game.
