Game week! excited to watch some baseball again. Saturday is looking wet, but hopefully they can squeeze the Friday game in.

Guessing a rotation of Will Sanford, Collin Clarke, and Cal Scolari for our pitching.
Infield will be lead by Cooney, Molony, and Hellman. Drew Smith can play anywhere but we have more pieces at OF than 3B right now, so he'll probably go there. Hellman likely at 1B, but he could go DH too. 1B Gabe Miranda is another guy I could see cracking the lineup, he did good things at :
-1B Dominic Hellman
-2B Ryan Cooney
-SS Maddox Molony
-3B Drew Smith
-C Burke-Lee Mabeus
Outfield and DH is where a lot of the confusion will be. Jax Giminez, Elijah Cook, and Jack Brooks have the most experience. Angel Laya is young, but there's a lot of new starters in the OF. Maybe he can sneak into the starting lineup. Brayden Jaksa will play somewhere, he's elite for a freshman. :
-RF Jax Giminez
-CF Elijah Cook
-LF Jack Brooks
-DH Brayden Jaksa
Overall not bad, our outfield seems like a big weak spot. Lots of unknowns. Hopefully they pleasantly surprise us all.

I wouldn’t be surprised to see Toby Twist over Clarke for the starting rotation. Also, I would think we see a good rotation between Miranda and Hellman at 1st/DH. Rotation with Lee-Mabeus and Jaksa at catcher. They also have Tyler Holley (Cal State Fullerton transfer) who could play third. Schleicardt is listed at both INF/OUT, so he could be someone else we see come in. His bat is good. Drew has spent time in the outfield.UOducksTK1 wrote: Mon Feb 09, 2026 5:44 pm Guessing a rotation of Will Sanford, Collin Clarke, and Cal Scolari for our pitching.

Ya I could see twist in rotation too.
Also Miranda has played our field too. How sick would it be to have him, Hellman, and Jaksa in the lineup hitting?

Looks like they're testing something as there's no radio broadcast going on and the social media accounts aren't showing any updates.TheDrake wrote: Fri Feb 13, 2026 12:47 pm https://stats.statbroadcast.com/statmonitr/?id=650740

C - Burke-Lee Mabeus OR Brayden Jaksa
1B - Gabe Miranda
2B - Ryan Cooney
SS - Maddox Molony
3B - Drew Smith
LF - Jax Gimenez
CF - Jack Brooks OR Elijah Cook
RF - Josh Schleichardt OR Angel Laya
DH - Dominic Hellman
No huge surprises. Schleichardt wasn’t a guy I thought we’d see start but sounds like he potentially may.

Brooks and Laya starting. Super impressive to see true freshman Laya crack the starting lineup.UOducksTK1 wrote: Fri Feb 13, 2026 1:10 pm C - Burke-Lee Mabeus OR Brayden Jaksa

Laya was a big-time OF prospect that didn't go as high in the draft as many thought. He was ranked by PerfectGame as the #12 overall FR in their top 100.
Jaska not starting isn't surprising since they've got Mabeus, Miranda and Hellman. He'll get some time as there's no way they aren't playing the #2 overall FR.

Now 6-0 after a sacrifice bunt by Oregon turns into a drop at 1B.
