Now 9-0 Oregon through 7. Great 5-inning start for Toby Twist.

I’m hopeful for the bullpen and I think a game like this shows they can be good. We have several guys who have good stuff, it’s just hitting spots and throwing strikes that is going to be the difference. Getting these guys reps, getting jitters out of the way early in the season.

I liked the guys they decided to pitch today for the midweek a lot better than what we did against OSU.

Funny because I thought the bullpen looks good because we are playing Xavier. If our bullpen can have a strong showing against Indiana this weekend, maybe my negaduck vibe towards the bullpen will subside.

I mean, yes and no. Sure, Xavier’s record isn’t great, but hey are still a decent D1 team who has put up runs in other games. The only other time they got blanked was against Arkansas and in the first game with Arkansas, they put up 6 runs. They beat Cal State Fullerton twice. There is positive takeaways, but still obvious improvement that has to happen to say this team can make a deep run into the post season. But the talent is there.

Homesickduck, ya we'll see. Hope they continue to do better.

Tight one right now. 1-1 in the 6th. Our bats just haven't done much today.

Oregon breaks the game open with Hellman's bases-clearing double and another double by Miranda to drive in Hellman.
