One thing about all the guys they've gotten so far is they can play multiple positions. Riley can play SG, SF, or a small PF. Meadow can slide between SF and PF. Compton can be a traditional PF or a small-ball C. Same could be said about Ariza, Spurlock, and Stewart too. Creates a lot of lineup versatility that Altman hasn't had in awhile.

This is true, lots of versatility.
It also seems like he focused on efficient shooters. All 3 of our transfer portal commits shot better FG% than our entire roster.
Also it seems like coaches are landing basically everyone who has visited so far. Chol and Page next?

Those could easily be the next two. Really interested to see who they target at PG. Reid seems like a decent backup who could end up starting if they don't land someone like Terrence Hill, Terrence Brown or Colby Garland. It'd be preferable if they could find a JR/SR to start and then get a young guy for the backup role. Also would be nice if Oregon could finish with at least one Top-50 transfer and a couple who've played in a power conference before.
The flurry of signings lends credence to the idea we got from Coach Altman that he was more or less the initiator in the team getting busted up. Hopefully this means they are spreading out the NIL money better.

I'm sure. Are the guys we've got so far better than Bittle or Shelstad? No way. But! Meadow and Riley would easily be better than our 4th best player from our roster last year.
I really do think we need one star go-to guy that is in the realm of Bittle/Shelstad level scoring. I know it's not likely to happen, but getting someone like Terrence Hill Jr. is vital to have a shot at the NCAA tournament.
Otherwise our team will look like a glorified Boise State, which just isn't enough IMO.

I would agree with this. So far the guys we got are good additions but aren’t big game changers for us in the Big Ten. We need 1 or 2 big time players if we really want to compete.

Yeah I do think Riley has potential to be our #2 scorer at like 13-16ppg. But we do need a #1 scorer. Brown and Garland woulda been nice too. But they're onto other things. I think we're getting priced out for a top 25 guy right now which is a shame...

Oregon is out of it for both Brown and Garland. Getting a little worried about where they turn to at PG and another potential high-level scorer.
Fully agree. The rest of our lineup looks great, but need a true leader PG and need one more high level scorer. I think coaches know this, but we are swinging and missing.

So no additions, only subtractions. Minus the one subtraction that should have happened as soon as the season ended. I guess Mullens wants to see if UO can go winless in the BIG next year.
We can't add anyone yet, the transfer portal doesn't open until 4/7.
Technically, yes. But behind the scenes, we can talk to players agents and do a lot of work arounds. 247 is already reporting one player who is supposed to announce for portal soon is a heavy Ducks lean. So we might hear news on some names before 4/7.
I've read that PG and C are two of the hardest and most expensive slots to fill in MBB since good ones are so rare.
