Re: 2026-27 MBB Additions/Subtractions
Oregon is going to have to start looking at some new, lower-tier guys if they can't get Edmead, Lewis, Machot, and/or Page. Their NIL budget being limited might be scaring off people, which is not good with 6 spots still left to fill.

Former 5 star recruit. His shot is funky, and he moves a little slow, but he puts up decent numbers in limited minutes.

Matt Prehm posted that he committed to Oregon then deleted it. Interesting...

Man, if we're recruiting Prehm now, thinks really might be bleak! jkUOducksTK1 wrote: Fri Apr 17, 2026 2:47 pm Matt Prehm posted that he committed to Oregon then deleted it. Interesting...

Hey if his NIL demands are low, we may have to...droop10 wrote: Fri Apr 17, 2026 3:21 pmMan, if we're recruiting Prehm now, thinks really might be bleak! jkUOducksTK1 wrote: Fri Apr 17, 2026 2:47 pm Matt Prehm posted that he committed to Oregon then deleted it. Interesting...

Kind of an odd situation for Johnson. He was a hometown kid who people had high hopes for this past season but injuries derailed him. He entered the portal and Kentucky fans were upset he might end up at Alabama. Now they're confused he might be looking at Oregon out of the blue. I guess he'd be a decent addition considering he was a top-25 recruit out of HS.

Which is bad because we have 9 roster spots to fill.

Seriously! I do appreciate Altman’s change in game plan to spread the funds out more and not go all in on a few guys. But so far, it’s not really working.
Getting Boise’s 3rd best scorer and SF’a 3rd best scorer just isn’t gonna move the needle.
You could make an argument that Oregon State at this point has the better transfer portal class.

If you’re going to go anywhere in March, you have to have “that guy” who can take over a game. You might win a game or two with a bunch of B players. But, that’ll be the ceiling. We’ll likely never see an Oregon natty in bball, but it would at least be nice to make some deep runs again to keep the interest up.

Ya we won’t even touch the NCAA tournament next season…
I went through the top 150 guys and scratched out a few uncommitted guys who are like 99% likely going to NBA… and there are only 48 guys in the top 150 who are uncommitted.
And I’d say at least half these guys are already leaning towards a school. Not good for the ducks! This was an absolute failure of an off-season.

Not that any of us saw it but we do have that 1939 Natty!

Yeah, I meant in the future lol. I still don’t think this offseason is a total failure. Jasper Johnson looks to have good upside if we add him. We’ll have to scrounge for a true PG, there’s a few good ones left. Need a true C and maybe a second one for depth. Then just start filling the rest of the roster with some cheap guys with some upside. Maybe go international for a couple and see if it pans out.TheDrake wrote: Sat Apr 18, 2026 10:08 amHomeSickDuck wrote: Sat Apr 18, 2026 9:32 am If you’re going to go anywhere in March, you have to have “that guy” who can take over a game.
