Oregon's bats are working today with 3 HRs so far, including a near 500-foot blast from Lauaki.

Oregon's pitchers (as have Illinois') are struggling with the heavy winds in Champaign as they've now given up 5 HRs. Good thing all but one have been solo shots. 11-6 Ducks through 6 innings.

Oregon puts up a 5 spot in the 7th to push the lead to 10. Junior Lauaki has been unreal the last couple weekends.

So many HRs! Crazy game! The wind definitely helped for some of them.

Oregon up 2-0 but have missed a lot of early scoring opportunities by leaving the bases loaded the last 2 innings.

A rough B4 for Oregon as the heavy winds played havoc with a couple Illinois high, shallow popups that resulted in Illinois getting 4 runs.

Oregon's bullpen is doing their thing again in B7 with a leadoff triple, two walks, two wild pitches to score Illinois runners, and an RBI single to give Illinois the lead, all with no outs still.

The B7 was beyond horrific for Oregon as they let up 8 runs amongst 4 different pitchers that had multiple free passes, wild pitches and the defense had a couple errors. They also lost Mabeus, who got hit in the throat on a pitch that bounced in front of home plate. This really can't keep happening, especially to a team like Illinois. Ducks trail 12-6 heading into the T8.

Another issue has been Oregon's offense squandering opportunities as they've outhit Illinois and had double-digit walks/HBPs but have left 14 runners on base.

And just like that Oregon is back in it as after a walk brings in a run, Jaksa wallops a grand slam over the LF wall to bring the Ducks within 1. Now 12-11 Illinois.
