Gosh nobody leaves runners stranded quite like Oregon. Bases loaded with 1 out and Jaksa hits into a really easy double play.

2-0 Ducks after Molony blasts a solo shot to LF. Need every run they can get with how dangerous Nebraska's lineup has been against Oregon's pitchers this season.

3-0 Oregon after Angel Laya somehow gets one out into the RF bullpen.

Besides a couple walks and some scattered hits, Sanford has not faced many challenges tonight through 6 innings. Helps having great defense behind him.

This ump’s strike zone seems to grow quite a bit when Oregon is batting…..

That double play in the bottom of the 6th was very timely. Nine outs to go.

Oregon has put up a 4-spot in the T7 on a Smith 2-RBI triple and a 2-run HR by Jaksa. 7-0 Ducks.

What a play by Cooney to end the 7th inning! If Oregon plays like this for the rest of the season they’ll be a tough team to beat for anyone!

Man, that was a fat pitch on the Jaksa homer. 1-2 count and the pitcher serves up a meatball. We'll take it.

I’m not a baseball genius but want to learn more, would you mind explaining what a fat pitch and meatball are?Phalanx wrote:Man, that was a fat pitch on the Jaksa homer. 1-2 count and the pitcher serves up a meatball. We'll take it.

Heh, just means the pitch was right in the middle of the plate, which most good pitchers would avoid, especially with 2 strikes. A 1-2 count would usually make a pitcher want to paint a corner or make the batter chase a bad pitch to avoid striking out.OregonFan4Life wrote: Sat May 23, 2026 7:33 pmI’m not a baseball genius but want to learn more, would you mind explaining what a fat pitch and meatball are?Phalanx wrote:Man, that was a fat pitch on the Jaksa homer. 1-2 count and the pitcher serves up a meatball.
