Ya I'd be pretty surprised if Burke-Lee Mabeus doesn't go pro. He's got a really good catchers arm.

I know there's still a lot of moving pieces, but just to give a rough idea of how things look:
LF Jax Giminez
CF Jack Brooks
RF Isaiah Hearn
3B Carter Johnstone / Kahanu Martinez
SS Malosi Mata'afa-Alferos / Sebastian Rolon
2B Jake Evans
1B Jake Books
C Brayden Jaksa
DH ???

Not a bad lineup. We really are losing a lot of power from our transfers. We could use a DH with 15-20 HR power. Hope there's someone left in the portal to fill that void.

Also really hoping Hearn doens't get drafted high and comes to Oregon. Otherwise our OF is looking pretty MEH!

Unless they get Hearns or another power hitter, I don't see Oregon having another 100+ HR season like they've had the past 3-4 years. Tough replacing double-digit HR guys like Laya, Smith, and Lauaki and then someone like Mabeus, who had 8.They may become a small ball team like 2022 was before they started getting some big boppers. Pitching will likely have to carry them as it doesn't seem they're getting poached like Oregon's hitters/field positions.

Ian Umlandt said he's coming back too.

Wouldn't expect anything less after he missed all of last season to injury and is an Oregon native. Would be nice getting Ryan Featherston back as well.

Couple things, Miranda is a Jr. and can still come back next year. He was probably the biggest disappointment this year as he hit double digits homers at Northern Kentucky the year before. But if he can find his bat again, he’s a good defensive 1st baseman and Books could play right field. Also, Weipert was an Oregon state catcher commit before he walked onto Oregon for football. He could very well end up being a contributor somewhere. I personally would love to get a better offensive center fielder. Brooks is good defensively and seems like a glue guy, but his bat leaves a lot to be desired. The pieces are there, especially if we can keep the core of the pitchers and and a few more pieces. Getting Umlandt and Featherston back would be huge. Retain Sanford, Bradley and maybe even Gosztola is he doesn’t go to the draft. Scolari as well. I liked what I saw from Barkhoff, Markham and a few other young guys this last year. Still have Morgan as well. Need to go out and get a true closer though.

If our pitching stays healthy, there's no reason we can't be as good as this year.

I like what you're thinking on Miranda, but he was such a liability on offense I personally hope we cut ties and move on. There's plenty of other fish to catch that could a similar skill set but better.
