It's not even rain as it's a system north of the stadium. From shots of the stadium from Oregon journalists/fans, it's mostly sunny with a few clouds.

I’m no expert, but I watched extended highlights of the Oklahoma State at Tulsa game and here are my thoughts of that game:

-It was at Tulsa, stadium was maybe 75% full, well over half of the fans were Oklahoma State fans. A Tulsa player made a big play and did the hush sound toward the crowd, never seen a player on a home team make that gesture to the crowd before.

-Tulsa’s kicker is hilariously bad.

-Oklahoma St has a really good RB in Caleb Hawkins, he’s the star of the team. Not the fastest guy but big guy with great vision that can make guys miss. It’ll be a good test to see how the ducks improve at tackling.

-QB Drew Estemaker is good and accurate but tries way too hard, he gets reckless at times, he’ll make a great throw then throw a pick throwing into triple coverage. Probably didn’t help with how much time he spent on the turf.

-WR’s seem ok but couldn’t really tell, they do have a very large 6’5” possession WR and a small speedy receiver, but saw limited receiver highlights.

-OLine is a hot mess, Oklahoma State can’t block anyone, they failed a few 4th and 1’s simply cause they can’t block. Tulsa kept hitting and pressuring Mestemaker, and their run blocking was terrible and they got no push at all. All 5 of their starting OLineman are transfer guys, I’m sure Hythloday has a few things to say about that. And one of their OLineman had a bad injury early. Ducks DLine SHOULD own them.

-Front seven actually looked decent, LB’s had good speed and made plays, and overall they have an undersized but athletic DL, they have a very good pass rush and will certainly attack Dante. They are discombobulated and undisciplined so they’re very susceptible to a running QB, so that is probably something that won’t benefit Oregon.

-Secondary seems disciplined and in the right position but they are very limited athletically, slow and small guys, they got outran quite a bit by Tulsa, good luck going against Oregon’s receivers.

I’m sure multiple posters could do far better scouting than that, that’s just what I noticed from what I watched. Hope this isn’t a game in the 4th quarter and if it is that means Oregon had execution issue again.

Barring strange events, it shouldnt be a game end of the first half. I expect a ton of screens and RPO game by Okie State to keep Mestemaker upright and healthy.

like you alluded to, Mestemaker has a history of trying to play hero ball. If we can force them into 3rd and long, we should be able to get some pressure and force mistakes.

Watching both Okie State and NT game highlights from last year, this system creates plays when they have time…also, I think that Mestemaker was suffering from nerves on top of being hurried against Tulsa. Also, your are right that their RB is the real deal and I don’t know that we have anyone that can simulate his style of play. But their O-line had the same issues that we had last week on not being able to fully open up running lanes and for the qb, give him enough time to make this offense work. I worry that the aggression level of teams outside of Oregon seems to be higher and even the media availability sessions seemed to be lacking energy….which was lacking in last weeks game. I am hoping that on top of playing clean, the team can show some aggression and energy on the field and hurry Okie States offense into mistakes, if not, it will be a long day….even longer with the weather delay.

ESPN just said Jamari Johnson is out today with an undisclosed injury. Probably going to see a lot of 4 WR sets now.

Bad opening series from the offense results in a 3 and out and then a bad angle from Aaron Flowers lets Mestemaker rip off a 50+ yard run. Horrible start after the rain delay.

At least they only gave up a FG after that long Mestemaker run. Offense needs to get clicking to gain the momentum back.

Devon Jackson gets the pick six and Ducks have the 7-3 lead. What a turnaround for the defense. Maybe that'll fire them up now.

Their HC, Eric Morris, gave Oregon fits when he was OC at WSU so makes sense today is no different.

People keep dogging the Oregon linebackers, but so far they are who is keeping the Ducks in this game. Jackson with the pick, and Nix with the great play here.
