One of the problems with Oregon football is the culture/fanbase. Our fanbase is so overly positive that it puts a real lack of pressure on the coaching staff. If you’re the coach at Ohio State or LSU you’d never hire friends as coordinators with these players and expectations because you know if it fails the fans will tar and feather you.

It’s early, but it seemed last year Thieneman was a much bigger disrupter on D, than Perich is today. Maybe the Ducks are using him differently, just seemed Thieneman was always in the mix at the LOS.
