Yeah, tarmac the dude. Yesterday. SC was obviously his advantage, as SC wasn’t expecting Dylan. Two weeks of practice for the new #1, looks like a third grader. Just his play calling alone was awful. Imagine him coaching you on what to expect, and how to overcome, then Dylan comes out like the lamb. He has to go.

Agreed! It was a bad promotion. Dan needs to cut ties and hire a good offensive coordinator with experience after the season.

Dan's coaching hires at OC/QB/OL are now costing him this season. They really needed to go out and get the best coaches available instead of sticking with in-program guys. It's time for them to get some new blood and ideas.

I’m wondering if Lanning is covering a greater portion of the D now as well. He may completely have to cover all of his sh*tty coaching decisions.

I’m normally not a big fan of firing coaches midseason. This is an exception. It has to happen, a message has to be sent. A plan beyond this needs to be made now, not in the off-season. For the fans, for the players, for the recruits, for the other coaches, for the future. I actually think this is pretty critical sooner than later.

I’m continuing to be shocked at how right I was. I thought Drew would suck but wow, I didn’t even know it was capable for a full time OC and offensive coaching staff to be this bad.

OC, OL, and QB coach should just be fired today. This season is lost and might as well try to get someone hired ASAP to prevent an exodus of talent at the end of the season. The offense is simply an abomination.

Dan is kidding himself if he thinks doing nothing is a neutral decision. Firing Mehringer and Terry might make things worse but a full season of this will be unavoidably damaging to the program.

It legit feels like our offense would be better off with no coaches than this offensive coaching staff.

You know things are bad when former players are going in on the team like he is.

Exactly how I'm feeling. Not conducting a national search with so much on the line was a dumb, short-sighted move. I really wanted to believe that Dan Lanning knew something about Meh that nobody else did, because there'd be no other way to rationalize his decision. And now here we are. Every single concern I had was validated beyond what I ever thought possible.

DAN LANNING SHOULD HAVE ALREADY FIRED COACH MEH.

Every minute he doesn't fire Coach Meh is another wasted minute for this program.

Coach Meh will not be here next season. Therefore, there is no reason for him to still be here now. FIRE HIM ASAP!!! Turn the page. The goal now is getting guys (and remaining coaches) ready for next season. It doesn't matter if we lose another game or two with Coach Meh being gone. Does anyone actually still believe that losing him would hurt us in any way? Dan Lanning is hemorrhaging credibility, and firing Meh is the only way to stop the bleeding.
Willie Taggart is a dick.

Most of the offensive coaching needs to be gone. They either made the plays, or had a significant interest in the plannings. But Lanning needs someone to call plays. Guaranteed high level donors will be in Mullens face tomorrow morning. Hoping for a happy headline when I read the news in the morning.
