If you didn't have the chance to see him at the state championships then you missed one of the best performances by a Oregon high school athlete in a long time. He is fast, but what I thought was more impressive was his ability to see the field, hit the whole and finish. He would be a great, and dangerous component to this spread system. Oh and taking him from the Fuskies would just be icing on the cake.

I wasn't able to watch much of the game. But, the few minutes I caught of the AA game showed an impressive kick return by Lowe. The commenters spoke highly of him.

I want Lowe more than Jefferson... I want every big time in-state player we can get. That's one criticism I hate hearing about our program is that we "don't have any kids from Oregon on our team"...

I would have offered Lowe a scholie based only upon seeing him in the State Championship game. Sheldon knew he was going to get the ball on every play, he did get the ball on every play, and on every play he shredded them and looked nearly unstoppable.

Kinda out there, but would Lowe and White have any pull with OWA?

Maybe too some of the in-state talent for 2011.

A few days ago it seemed like we didn't have enough rides. Can you fill in some details?

Probably means the coaches were keeping spots open for every one of Potoae, Heimuli, King, Owa, Werner, Lattimore, etc. and have since learned that we're not going to get EVERY one of them.

Of the 15+ players that have been listed as interested in us: the aforementioned 6, Lache, D. Lewis, Lowe, Jefferson, Dargan, Akuna, Shirley (probably a bit wishful, but god he'd be a steal), Hemschoot, Baxter, Huff etc. we'll probably be lucky to land 5 or 6.

It's likely that the coaches have been told by several of those DLmen who had spots held for them, that they're going elsewhere, opening up a spot or two.

With everything that's been reported these last few days, I'd be VERY happy with a final grouping of one of King or Owa, Dargan, Werner, Lowe, Huff, and another solid player or two (even Dungy if he really is best friends w/ that beast in Tampa).

Also, its likely that A-Jeff told the coaches of his plans to go to UCLA....

I'd take them both. Lowe is no back-up plan. He was nothing short of heroic in the state final. He was going against very good competition--including our own Curtis White--and he was the best player on the field that day by a mile. I watched it with a pit in my stomach thinking about how that kid was leaving Oregon to go to Washington. Keeping Lowe at home should be a top priority.
