James Johnson has been replaced by Keanon Lowe if there is any consolation...

Samie had world class speed. I know Lowe is fast, but is he really that fast?

I honestly don't know. I watched the state title game, but that's all I have seen of Lowe

Also I wonder how much of an impact Howrie would have had in our spread system.

So whats the percentage he's switched to DB withinig the first week of practice? 85-90%? Seriously, guaranteed he'll end up at DB. Barring a bunch of injuries & need for WRs, of course.

He will get a shot first year to prove he is a WR while red shirting.

True, I believe Lowe ran a 10.7 100 meter, while Samie ran a 10.2 as a senior at Oregon.

But still, Lowe has great speed, and I see similar talent and upside as Samie.

Good point..

"I had been thinking about this before I was in San Antonio. Although I am excited to play with Curtis (White), Dior (Mathis) and hopefully Lache (Seastrunk)."

Finally a good year from the Army All American game?

I think it will depend on who we pick up next year and how well Blake Cantu and Nick Cole have developed.

Diante Jackson - rfr

Blake Cantu - rfr
Nick cole - rfr

Don't think that's what's going on. Lowe is being recruited as a WR, but he does have the talent to play both ways. Also, if Huff wants to be a duck, the coaches will take him. I mentioned jhop said on DT that ducks will overbook if needed. Too much talent to pass up on.
Seems like were loading up on 5-10< 180lb< speed guys

James
Barner
Lowe
Sea?

Lowe is a good athlete, but I question how well he would translate to WR in our system. Even if he puts on 20lbs he would still be the smallest WR on our team. Not really sure how well he can block? I guess he could take Hollands place for those WR reverse plays? although that's something that Barner does really well.

I think he could be an amazing DB though :)
Although a couple inches taller Terrence Scott was listed at 175 and he certainly contributed in our version of the spread.

Now I see what everyone talked about when they brought up his heart. Despite his smaller size, he did not fear contact one bit. He's gonna be a player for us in the slot.

Awesome! Lets hope he and Curtis are banging down Owa and King's doors and not letting them say anything other than yes!

Was just about to post the same thing. News about Potoae & Lowe wavering came out about the same time. Any chance we Get Potoae too? And does Lowe switching help us with him at all?

This was my thought too! Nabbing Potoae would be great!

I believe it was MacDuck (could very easily be wrong) who posted awhile back that both he and Lowe were thinking about switching...

Anybody have any info on that?
