Guys I'm new here but check olive forum and see what duckalum has to say. He's a rivals member and seems to know stuff about OWA. To quote
" Not sure of the articles sources, but this information is completely wrong. I am a Rivals.com member and in constant contact with the moderators for DuckSportsAuthority on there who have very inside information on the program and recruiting specifically. Not to mention I have access to all of the articles. Owa did indeed have 3 in-homes last week but they were with Oregon, NOT Oregon State, and then UCLA and Nebraska.
In the most recent of articles his coach sat down with him to evaluate is 3 finalists (UO, UCLA, Neb) on a points system. Interestingly all 3 schools tied using this method and his coach told him to then just go with his heart.

Word is that he is down to just two and that they are most likely Nebraska and Oregon. He is said to really have something for Nebraska but that his mom wants him closer to home potentially putting the Ducks slightly in the lead with him.

Again I am backing up everything I say with information directly from Owa and his coach via Rivals interviews as well the Ducks Rivals.com moderators.

Rest easy Duck fans, we have a great shot of landing this guy, but if we don't you will not have to worry about seeing him in a Beaver uniform I can guarantee you that."
He says later.. " Gabe King: Word is the Ducks chose to drop his offer. I'm sure for good reason. I trust our coaches.

Bjeorn Werner: Down to us and Florida State. Most think he's ours

Ricky Heimuli: Down to us UCLA and Utah. Looks like we might be 3rd behind those two but could close this week.

Anthony Jefferson: Us and UCLA. Appears to be a UCLA lock.

Erick Dargan: WSU, UCLA, and us. Most agree he is on his way to Oregon.

And finally Lache Seastrunk: Looks like amazingly it is Oregon and somehow Memphis. LSU and Auburn appear out of it now. Nearly everyone has him to Oregon and how rumblings are getting out that this is confirmed and that the official word could get out before his scheduled Wed announce date."

Thanks Duck Alum!!

Sounds good to me.

dont know, but the word is Ducks dropped King. So King is definatley out. Dont know why , no one is talking.

the other word is that Werner's girlfriend( appartnly they are to be married) wants to live in Florida. But Ducks still have 50/50 shot right now.

also Lache is now looking at LSU.

This class will still finish around 22 but the big problem is DL. what does the Duck staff do now?

So we went from possibly landing all of those...to getting lucky on landing any of them haha what a joke.
I bet the coaches have to be seriously second-guessing themselves and pulling their hair on not being able to get any quality DTs to come in. You would seem to think that Oregon's lack of depth would be appealing to players but it just doesn't seem like it's lit a fire in recruits. Having to settle for no-name or no DT recruits is getting tiring and worrisome.

This doesn't make sense. It's got to be a mistake. Read further down the page.

"Re: Beavers make final 3 on David Douglas star's list

Hey Kerry...I know you are a beaver homer but can you get your facts straight. Riley never had an in home with him. Kelly and the U of O did. Clean your act up and stop embarrassing the state of Oregon with your uninformed journalism.

"Paul""

I think the guy who wrote that article has us and the Beavs mixed up. I hope so, anyway.

Ha, I know Kerry's son. Kerry Eggers actually coached my football team in 5th grade, and he was also a little league coach against my team. He got kicked out of 3 games in baseball, and eventually got kicked out of the league lol. He's a nice guy for the most part, but he cannot contain his anger. Dang beaver..

Defensive line recruiting is ruining what would otherwise be a great class. For some reason or another, no quality DL wants to come here. If they do commit, they can't qualify. I starting to lose a little faith in the coaches in pulling in DL recruits.

This is terrible news. I really hope he ends up in Nebraska now. I hope that everyone is just overreacting about what is going on with King and Werner though.

Kind of odd that he took out OSU a while back...and now put them back in. Ohhh well, "maybe next year" (lol how old it is to have to keep saying that)

It really sucks that we can't get any DTs while just about every other school has multiple DTs committed to them. This drought on DTs is sort of like the drought we suffered in getting RBs and LBs from around 2001-2005. Hopefully DL (especially DT) recruiting picks up soon.

Don't get me wrong. I love the players that have decided to commit to us. However, sometimes when recruiting season comes around I feel like I'm in the movie Groundhog Day except without the happy ending.

Call me in denial, but somehow I believe this either to be inaccurate or a ruse. I won't believe where he's going until he signs his LOI. Owa seems to waffle more than Bowerman's first shoes.

I don't recall hearing about a Riley in-home visit and that article doesn't list Kelly as visiting.

Sounds like a mix-up. But, who knows...
