I think if Owa did drop Oregon you can rest assured it had to do with the Masoli story. I would be very wiery of going to a school that now has had 2 black eyes in less than 9 months. First the Blount situation and now the story with Masoli. Whether the story is true or not the whole thing is going to make some recruits hesitant. Owa dropping Oregon does not surprise me.

It's possible, but I doubt it. Although losing Masoli would drop us from being in the national championship conversation into the "very good" category, I'd be shocked if that were the reason, especially with a week left until signing day and since no charges have been filed against Masoli.

Dropping us because of Alliotti makes a lot more sense to me. However, I don't see any major improvement in the Beavers on the defensive side of the ball. They've given up a lot of yards and points to us, BYU, USC, Arizona and more. They've played certain teams tough, but a lot of it has to do with matchups and the players you have available to run your scheme with. Same as us.

Personally, I'm only interested in getting players that WANT to be here. This staff has taken 2-3 star players and molded them into superstars in the past more than once and they'll do it again.

Owa may get to the next level and SUCK. There was already a high school kid that posted over at Moseley's blog (sorry, no link) that said he wasn't even the toughest player he'd gone up against this season.

Let him go to the Beavers so he can lose to us the next four years.

Let the "CHIP'S" ;) fall where they may.
