Your track record seems to be pretty good so far. Do you have anything behind the good feeling, or is it just based off of how his recruitment has gone so far?

My source just said Chip is officially back!
It will be announced at Autzen press conference tomorrow afternoon!

Mops said tonight he thinks Boyd is ours on Monday. I'm not so sure, but I've only read articles

the PAC-10 is a QB's dream, Boyd will be great at Oregon instead of rotting behind Pryor. Do you really think that Tressel would bench Pryor for Boyd? He knows the fans would never agree to it. Boyd will beat out Masoli as soon as he is ready, sorry Masoli fans, but that is the truth. Clemens beat out Fife because he was the better QB. I expect Boyd to do the same his redshirt freshmen year.

Some of the more recent Boyd quotes have him expressing concern about how well a QB from our system would translate to the NFL. Either way, I will be relieved when he announces and we can move forward.

While it would be cool to get Boyd I think that DT is gettin overlooked here. I, for one, think that he will flourish in this system. And at least likes competition he isnt scared of it.

Agreed Duckfan...You are right on.....For Tahj Boyd to be in a starting role, he not only has to rise above and beyond Masoli, but also has to justify playing ahead of Darron Thomas....From what we have seen of DT, that would be no small accomplishment. DT is for real/DT has the size, the tools, and the talent to take this Duck team to heights only previously imagined...And,I am not so sure that Masoli isnt the same way...
For Boyd to jump either of these young QB's, is gonna take some VERY SERIOUS play, right from the get go on his part...
Sure, TB would be a fantastic acquisition for the Ducks, but that being said, he hasnt played minute one of College Level football, nor has he "proven" himself......
We all have to pay our dues in the game of life..and....so will Tahj Boyd, no matter where he lands...
Lets just hope he lands in Eugene...Let the competition and fire works begin....
C'mon Bryce Brown.....BE A DUCK......This is history in the making......We need someone to immediately fill the shoes of JJ and you, my friend, are the one to do it. We have a rich history of top notch RB's into the NFL. Lets add to that history...Lets add the name of Bryce Brown to the list...And lets not only win the NC, lets blow the rest of the country away, while we do it....
GOOOOO DUCKS.....

I would personally love to see Tajh Boyd come be a part of Oregon and the offense that I think suits him best. I see though we have at least 2 proven quarterbacks with college game experience that do quite well. If look at Masoli for those who do not think he ahs what it takes to take us to the next level then look back at his progression over the year. Is he Terelle Pryor, no, but one thing absolutely have to give him credit for is he is a gamer. While a lot of fans booed him he kept his head on and the last 3 weeks made progressions that you always want a college qb to make. When Arizona made the late comeback it was Masoli that took our team down the field calmly and ended up making the plays that secured the win. It was by far at that time his best game and he kept getting better. I think he really could be a heisman candidate next year something i never imagined when he first started games. I look at how far he has progressed and if continues he will be something special. Back to Boyd.. I think if we get him he does open the gates to get others. These guys committing to Oregon for next year.. I want to see if they still committed to Oregon next January and beyond.

Is he Pryor? No he can actually throw the ball and does not have to be subbed for when it comes to passing downs. I really like Harper but he reminds me of Pryor...a great runner but I dunno bout his passing. Thomas can throw...just dunno bout his running. I, for one, cant wait for DT to take over cause I think he has all the tools and is confident.

I think if Darron Thomas can run and that is the question right now if is able to redshirt next year.. then when he gets the job will have 3 very good years with him. It might only be 2 but I think Masoli could possibly go pro after next year if he continues his progression at the rate he did the last month. He also needs the receivers to do what they have scholarships to do and that is catch the ball when hits them in the hands. Masoli might have had better stats earlier throwing the ball if receivers would actually catch the ball. I think Chip Kelly was going away from the pass early because the receivers were dropping the ball.

Not sure any of our QB's and especially Masoli will be leaving school early for the NFL.. see Tim Tebow.

What position would Masoli play in the pros??? The kid will not go to the pros after his junior season. Anyway, we is everyone question DT's running ability. We obviously aren't going to get a running quarterback like Masoli that can bulldoze the safeties but DT has 4.5 speed. This is a kid that considered WR. In all honesty, I don't know how many 5'10", 225 quarterbacks will be in our future.

Echo31.....Drew Breese is too short and so is Flute. Playmakers play regardless of size.

Guys get real neither of these kids will unseat Masoli. Masoli has shown courage, the ability to learn quickly and imense leadership skills in one year. I for one can't wait to see him develop after a full off season with the Ducks. Oh by the way don't forget about Costa my friend that plays for the Ducks says he's the real deal when healthy.
