I'll take Marshall, but only if we don't get Brown.

I understand offering Marshall, but Burrell? We might be dipping a bit.

I think we get Brown so Marshall will probably go to Utah. And we will probably land so many other guys there won't be any room for Burrell!

That is an ideal situation. IMO burrel is a good good player, so to be able to turn down a guy like him really shows how far our recruiting has come...where we used to be loving guys like Burrel, now they are "fall-backs" in a sense

Not only is Burrell small, but he's really slow (5.41 40) as well. Either getting anxious to sign new offensive linemen, or the coaches see something the scout profile doesn't show.

All we need to know about Burrell is that Greatwood likes him enough to give him an offer. Greatwood is the man when it comes to OL evaluation.

He does quite a list of teams looking at him....so maybe the star deal is out of wack or somethin.

Marshall is a pretty good running back. I wouldn't be overly surprised if ducks land both. Keep in mind we'll probably overbook for this clas because of question marks on guys leaving early or players not qualifying. I know we are pretty deep at RB, but Marshall could redshirt and see time as early as his sophomore year (If BB leaves early).

Oregon might start looking like USC at RB and have like 6-7 guys at the position. Keep in mind there are going to be a number of huge RB recruits for 2010, many of whom are showing interest in the Ducks!

We are getting loaded at RB. Its a good position to be deep at because of injuries and other things. Also it is easy to get all the talent on the field at RB. You can take a bigger back, put him at Fullback. We can have an H back. We could put them in the slot. We could have two Rb's back there, one on each side of the qb. We can play em on special teams. All these guys will see the field. And the best Part!....it encourages competition for the starting job and that is what makes people better, when something is not handed to them, but earned

Plus it helps to prepare these guys for the NFL when they don't get the ball in this system they do a lot of downfield blocking, etc. so they can prepare and develop better for the next level.
