Running backs can at times become pretty decent linebackers or defensive secondary players

Terrance Whitehead came to Oregon as a FS, or at least he played that in HS and his rivals profile says he was a FS.

Marshall is big and fast. Given a year or 2 he can develop into a really good back + his little bro will be a huge prospect by the time he's a senior so it will also give us a leg up on him.
BOOF it!

Marshall has a Stud brother also. Would give us the inside track on him.

JD Nelson was a RB in HS and turned out into a pretty badass safety

JD laid the wood. I really missed having that physical presence in the Dbackfield until Ward came along. TJ lays the wood like none we've ever had. Just check out my avatarsjducks wrote:JD Nelson was a RB in HS and turned out into a pretty badass safety

While Ward is great. He isn't on the same level as JD. No passes were completed if JD had something to say about it...no one walked off the field standing if JD had something to say about it. JD just seemed to be more of a natural FS, while Ward seems to be more just a hitter, but i love both!

TJ Ward is not near the cover guy that JD was but TJ was playing out of position this year. In terms of just hitting people, Ward is more of a pesence, IMO. Both are/were beasts, I'm definitely not trying to take anything away from JD.
