Rumble Rumble In The Jungle

Lots of sounds keep coming from that brush of what you call Oregon recruiting...

Sounds like the Ducks are making some moves that could have a few surprises.

Also, doesn't look like Sam Montgomery will be visiting as we told him no thanks we are full.

Too full for a player like Montgomery? I disagree with that.

We told Montgomery we are full? I realize we have a lot of DE's committed already and we have some nice prospects but none quite on his level. If a player like Montgomery is interested, you find room for him. We aren't SC where we can just turn away players like this.

I agree with PDX. With a player like Montgomery, you find room for him. I don't see us saying no to Boyd when we already have like 5 qb's.

At some point these guys have to pull the trigger or miss out though. We are not USC, so we can't wait for all the 4* & 5* guys to decide after signing day if we have other good prospects who are ready to commit.

If the hint were in the title we should expect the state of Oregon to change admissions standards and for LEON to recommit

Visiting and committing are two very different things. Everyone has always placed our chances at getting Montgomery very very low, why not give another kid a scholarship if that target is in danger of going somewhere else (like Cal...)

I think the coaches probably also gauge the kids interest before telling him that we're full

I dont believe the staff thinks they have a good shot at gettin him and instead have tried to get a differnt big ugly in for a visit.

If we had a LEGIT shot at Montgomery I doubt they deny him. It's likely they knew it was a LOOOOOOOOOONG shot and are diverting attention to shoring up other recruits and positions. Which DE, is not that pressing of a need.
